yellow rim strips

Has anyone got a silver bike with yellow rim strips? I'm thinking it would go well together. Any pictures??? Photoshop???

Cheers

Can't see it personally, I'd have thought either blue or silver rim tape to go with a silver bike!

Yellow and silver is an old school Yamaha combo isnt it?

Wasn't there a famous race bike in those colours or was it yellow and black?

The fact that if you do a search for a silver bike with yellow rims/wheels and hardly anything comes up speaks volumes in itself.
I wouldn't say it's the greatest colour combination to be truthful.

An alternative is do what i do and paint the letters on the tyres in the colour of your choice!

You do need a decent paint pen, a bit of patience and a steady hand though, but the results are good when the bike's all cleaned up as well.  :smokin

I have done the same thing as Darrsi recently, have always wanted to do it but couldn't find a tyre with white writing. Then realised you do it yourself with a £2 pen. Looks really cool in my opinion, I personally think rim tape can look really tacky and awful on some bikes if it's not done properly.

Getting a decent paint pen is the main thing, i bought a couple a while ago and the tips on both were absolutely useless, but fortunately i was able to put the old tip onto the new pen and then it worked okay.

You say that, I I love the black vinyl that reflects white, but yeah, completely against the point of rim tape except at night!  :)
