Hello all,
I have had a browse around and I have not seen a topic with the same issue so thought I would list a new topic.
Right so the basics, I have a:
Fz6 s2 fazer
58 plate
11k miles (only bought this with 5k on clock in Dec :P)
I have been noticing the error code 43 (not reading battery voltage) coming up when turning the ignition on this is an intermittent fault. I have the feeling it is the fuel relay box that may have water corrosion (not unsealed it so not 100% sure)I have tried the diagnostics check 50 (if I remember correctly) and this shows to be @ 0.0.
I have also checked all the terminals and they appear to be fine(connections wise along with external.
Symptoms:
-When putting the bike ignition on, the fuels pump starts but it doesn’t turn off unless the error code 43 turns off and so the engine warning light. The bike itself runs fine and no drop in power, after riding a -while or leaving the ignition on the warning light eventually disappears and so the fuel pump stops consistently running.
Well hope you can all shed a bit of light on this I will be trying a new battery off a friend’s fazer to see if It is a battery fault but any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers guys and gals

Using that diagnostic code 50, can you hear the pump relay click 5 times?
-
hiya thanks for quick reply.
yes when i do error code 50 the tank pump starts and stops a few times and the relay makes a clicking noise.
also noticed the neutral light somtimes comes on when riding and in gear

Have you tried switching it off and back on again :rollin
-
Haha
I was waiting for that Jacko XD.
Ill try that now... hmmm nope does not seem to rectify it lol, shall I try turning it off for 10 mins then turning it back on lol.

Maybe error code 43 is "wrong colour wheels or bike"
-
Or it could be wheels are to epic for the bike - please spay bike as well lol.
well an update to the whole situation, It now appears to start with no problems over the last few day so I still have the feeling it was due to water some how getting into the sealed relay.
