Rode up to North Wales on Monday, I was a bit worried how the Ducati would cope with longer distances , I did 600 miles in 3 days , the Ducati was faultless on green lanes , twistie B roads , sweeping bends , A roads , dual carriageway , motorways , luggage carrying capabilities were great and didn't affect handling and even MPG was more than adequate at 56 miles to the gallon .

General / Re: Possible terror attack Manchester« on: 25 May 2017, 10:26:40 pm »My plan is cheaper , and only infringes on the rights of those intent on doing us harm , I would extend it to serial murderers and sex offenders .What is your objection to carrying an identity card? also what is your objection to being searched before entering a Shop or Sports venue Etc! We had to live with it in N Ireland for 30 years plus during the troubles. Anyone who does object to carrying an TD card must have something to hide, Also if searched before entering a shopping centre surely the 15 seconds wasted of your life would only make your shopping experience better knowing that you may jst be a little bit safer to enjoy your day. There was a post I saw on faceache today. 11

Arrest the 3000 known Jihadists fit it a small explosive charge inserted by their carotid artery , that detonated when they walk out the front door , no need for soldiers on the streets , deportation or POW camps.

Why is it that the Police have the powers to seize the passports of known troublemakers during football tournaments , but allow the 3000 known Jihadists to travel hither and thither , I won't say what I would do to these scum on a social platform as big brother is watching .

Took the Ducati for its first ride since the 600 mile service , rode to Avebury hill then back via Salisbury plain , what a cracking little bike , I was worried the lack of fairing might be an issue at higher speeds , but it's not .

Took the Ducati Scrambler for its first ride , what a fantastic bike to ride , light and nimble , which makes filtering easy , stickcs to the road like shit to a blanket , don't know if it's the tyres or the suspension which gave me so much confidence in the corners , great torquey engine , I have to keep it under 6k revs , that's 80 in 6th until its run in , sounds great , 140 miles to a tank , a screen would improve it if doing lots of motorways or long distances , I would recommend foccers getting in touch with a dealer and booking their test ride .

General / Re: New bike« on: 15 March 2017, 10:29:18 pm »Was toying with getting a 250 to commute to work and keeping the Guzzi for summer , then looked at the XSR 700 , , but the ducati was only an extra £700 , I will post some pics when I collect it , they had a red one in the shop , but the yellow one was down the Bridgewater branch .Traded in the Guzzi for a Ducati Scrambler Icon . 24

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: What's your thoughts??« on: 26 February 2017, 07:40:05 pm »I would spray the chain with WD40 after riding in the wet, roll on the warmer drier weather .Fazer sold today , hope you enjoy her as much as I have Lloyd , I will miss her but at least I have the Guzzi to put a smile on my face . Going to get myself a 250 for the commute to work . |
