Thanks for making this thread, did want to learn about these some more.

Would you mind letting us know which network you used for your PAYG sim? I guess it would probably be fine with any be just to be on the safe side as I don't know much about mobile technical stuff.

Did you have to buy a mobile data allowance package of some sort?

Sorry I'm crap at phones and all that stuff confuses me.

Andy

Hello mate,

On consideration I think given my technical limitations when it comes to phones I'm going to get one new so it comes with the appropriate sim.

But thanks anyway, looks like a great piece of kit.

Thanks, Andy

Bit worrying it says it needs a water proof pouch.

Not really ideal for use on a bike if its not properly weather sealed.

Afternoon, do you know if the tracking have be turned on/off at will? The only time I would want the thing tracking the bike is when its been stolen, not at ANY other time.

Just spoke to the company that sells them, there are twio mode of operation -

SMS mode - where you can send commands to the tracker from your mobile, such as turning live mode on and off or just requesting a location update.
LIVE mode -  where its tracking either every 20sec or every 10mins

And SMS mode also has a vibration details facility where it will txt you if the bike been knocked or moved. Think Im gonna get one for both the Fazer and the bandit when they are that cheap.
