RANT :parcel to go
« on: 28 September 2012, 09:27:48 pm »
hi for about the 4th time in six months parcel2go have let me down.

thought i would let members know about this so called service.

you book a pick up day and are advised by email you must be in between 8am and 7pm.

as no one came i contacted customer service, via internet as no phone contact available, and basically get told, tough, we are not responsible for courier firm and do you want to rebook for another day, on which they cannot guarantee a pick up.

i asked for refund and was offered a credit and had to insist on a refund which will probably take forever if ever to come

the person was so arrogant and said have a good weekend and cut line

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :grumble

Had a few problems with them myself recently, but they sorted it out for me really well.
 :\

City Link failed to uplift on three occasions, parcel2go swapped me to Parcel Force and the items were picked up next day.
I was pissed off with them, but they were brilliant at sorting it out so I'll be using them again in the future.
City link I wouldn't piss on if they were in fire.

Sorry to hear that they weren't as helpful for you.

That's pretty crap, I'll be avoiding them in future.  I've had a good experience (only used them once) with myhermes, might be worth giving them a try next time?

I've used MyHermes regularly and they are very good. I once tried Yodel for some reason and they let me down so went straight back to MyHermes.

I was expecting two deliveries last Friday, unfortunately I was going out, so I left a note on the door saying "Couriers: Please leave parcels with neighbours or redeliver as early as possible on Monday."

So what happened?

FedEx left their parcel with people at a house across the road (who I've never even seen, let alone spoken to) and Citylink redelivered their parcel on Monday at 6pm!!!

If you sent a package by Parcelforce Express 48 and it wasn't delivered within the 48hr window, you cam reclaim you postage costs. I have done this on two occasions when the parcel has been delivered late.

IIRC you can't claim the whole cost, but only the *difference* between the cost of the service you paid for and the one you actually got!

So if you sent it by 24 hour delivery and it took 48 hours, they'd say "Well 24 hour delivery cost X, 48 hour delivery would have cost Y, so we'll refund you X-Y"

I've used parcel2go loads, had about a 90% success rate, lately I did have one go wrong and Yodel collections are quite late in the day.
I just bring all my stuff to work and always gets collected by 6pm.

TNT through parcel2go seems the most reliable and fastest for sending stuff to people.

Yodel
Yodel are useless.  Re-branded Home Delivery Network.
