Had the road test today, on an MT10, hated it.Too tall, felt like I was perched on it rather than sitting on a bike, a bit like riding a 70's trailie. The worst part though has to be the engine, how have they taken a 4 cylinder engine and made it feel like a parallel twin?Mode 1 is like a switch, everything or nothing, mode 2 was jerky as hell and mode 3 felt dull until you got the revs up to a point where you're breaking all the speed limits. No useable torque until you're flying.Overall it looks like plastic and didn't feel like a £15k bike.I've told the garage to spend the £1k to fix my bike instead of spending £15k on a bike I don't think I'll ever get on with.

Haha your the first person (other than myself) I've heard that's not impressed by it.
I'm going to road test the S1000R but I just found out they are doing one in blue for 2020 so I might wait for that
The R1250r has got under my skin, the boxer engine is smooth and torquey and the bike is quick comfortable and is very flickable, I also like it’s charachter of rocking the bike left when you blip the throttle.I would have one tomorrow if something happened to my fazer thou.

I very nearly popped up to the dealer last Sunday to place an order. My impression after a 2hr test ride was that it’s a superb bike. However, VNA has knee issues again right now. I’m keen on hill walking, so I’m gutted I can’t get out. I’m trying to get them working for me again, but, I might need cash for a private referral. And if a specialist Orthopaedic surgeon can help, well even if I can get it done on the NHS, I’ll not be riding my bike for a while if I’m recovering from knee surgery. So it’s on hold. Might yet go for it for September, but more likely march - I think.
Even better really if your going for brand new as the first wave of models will be done with so any potential issues should be have been made apparent. Also theres a good chance you'll be able to pick up a pre reg at a discount 🤔 Or even better a 'nearly new' one with a few thousand miles on it and most of the depreciation taken care of
I like to keep my bikes clean so spokes are not welcome in my house.
Fantastically lovely? No. It's a good looking bike in an odd looking way, like many BMWs.
