General / Re: Thought I'd try V power.
« on: 02 December 2014, 08:57:59 am »
I tried V power once because I used to run a blown car on it. I found the bike stalling as well and generally not feeling as good as the usual fuel which is Esso 97. In fact I only ever use Esso 97 if I can help it, I've never put 95 in to test.

The only way to put a GoPro on a helmet without it looking silly, would be to use a chin bar mount.

I use a Drift HD 1080p. They can be had for about £155 and use a thick 3M sticky pad on the back of a mount. You clip the camera into the mount and it's amazingly strong.

I recommend a Northern Ireland pack from an army surplus store.

Just pop to a local garage, they will check it and tell you right away if the battery is past it.

Oh that is gorgeous, what is it?

Yamaha MT-01 my good man  :thumbup

Very nice indeed Ogry :)

Of course it is, only says it clear as day in the original post. I just go around with my eyes shut.

Lovely bike anyway, kinda like a Japanese Buell :)

I wouldn't call that a result either, more like getting away with it. Pretty silly riding on a rail line.

It's a shame to see Polly go mate but I'm eager to see her replacement!

« on: 20 August 2014, 07:34:54 am »
I had big end failure on a car once at those revs and coming down was more obvious. I vote big ends from what you say, I'd get it checked ASAP. My engine threw a rod and locked the rear wheels, not gonna be fun on a bike :(

General / Re: 1/5 turn throttle mod for free!
« on: 20 July 2014, 10:37:57 am »
I've never heard of this before, what is it for?
It cuts down the amount of travel in the throttle from the fully closed to fully opened position.

Ahhh thank you, good idea that.

Hello mate, I don't need much of an excuse to throw a picture up of mine...

It was born without a fairing though.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: How often do you clean your pistons/calipers?
« on: 07 July 2014, 10:23:52 am »
You can take them off and clean them properly now and again. In between that though I use Delboy's trick and attack them like in this video... Very easy.

That is nasty. I think people that accept that they might come off without gear just think "meh, it'll heal"

5 years old? It's probably time to buy a new helmet anyway.
