Interesting one this - I've always thought of the MT series as the Fazers replacement, which seems to be echoed in the number of ex Fazer owners moving onto them!

It's all in the name, FAZER Owners Club!

MT-09 also marketed elsewhere as the FZ-09 go figure
MT-09 Tracer for those who no longer can handle a BIG boy Fazer

So why not include the FZ750 from the late 80s?
I'm with Darrsi; the clue is in the NAME.

This doesn't mean we have to be exclusive to those who switch from Fazers to MT series bikes if they like the community here. We have threads for those who no longer own Fazers, general discussion topics. But the forum could get a bit unwieldy if we add every bike that ever had an FZ prefix, imo.

There already is an MT owners forum so why bother?

I'm with Lew, this forum takes some beating for the amount of pillocks  sense of community and is easy to negotiate your way around.
It would also be interesting to see how many Fazer and ex-Fazer owners have gone to the Dark side.

Yes I'm one of the pillocks who has moved to the dark side, but this site is more laid back. Yes I have an MT09 and and Mt-03 the old 03 that is.

it doesnt have to be a split forum.
just add another at the bottom and if anyone want to have a looky etc..
that way we get to keep all the good folks on here and still blab on about the Fazer.
would it make any difference if yamaha call the bike Fazer 700 instead of tracer? think not.
If I wanted to make a life-long career out of

Could always just add an 'other bikes' tab onto the menu. Doesn't have to be MT specific seeing as quite a few of you have various bikes?

I dont see the problem
you've already got the fazer 600(R6 engine etc) and 800 which doesn't share anything with the older Fazer but name.
