Title: Carbtunes in yorkshire
Post by: ajmes1 on 05 October 2014, 11:40:52 am
Would anyone near selby, north yorks, have a carbtune or similar that I could borrow along with a hand to balance the carbs?

Getting an annoying vibration through the pegs between 6-7.5k revs in any gear and thought it's probably worth checking the balance.

Double check engine mounting bolts are torqued correctly.
Also have a look at how the centre stand rests on the end can link pipe as well, it may need a little adjustment as that could send vibes towards your feet, and obviously check that your exhaust bolts are all as they should be.

I've got some you can borrow, you know where I live! I'm busy the next couple of weekends though, then on holiday.
Could give you a hand after that though if you need it.

carbtune is for idle , the throttle links are adjusted to balance the carbs. At wider throttle the balancing insnt going to do that much, but it will improve like MPG I suppose.

Check your mountings and fasteners and check the peg bolts are tight , probably need to take them off the bike at the bracket - only two bolts to remove. Check tank bolt near yolk and tank support rubbers
