Title: Can I get Phone and Wifi On Freesat
Post by: Frosties on 24 December 2015, 10:43:31 pm
Hiya fellas,

Fecked off with BT so looking for other options.

The landline has developed a fault which after contacting BT they said "yup, a fault at the exchage" or similar only to change within minutes to "fault at your end so need to book an engineer at a £130 cost - if required". Now everyone I've spoken to has failed to get away with not paying this £130 - the feckers just add it to the bill. Wifi still works and it's the old style BT socket with no test socket.

So looking for a Wifi and phone alternative - no cable down our road.

Is this available via Free sat somehow?

Cheers in advance

Talk to your neighbours? If you can get enough willing to sign up, you can talk to virgin about putting cable in. I'm sure one of my workmates did this but they needed a few customers to justify it.

Doesn't matter who you're with, they all throw in the warning of charge if found to be your end (your fault)  I've not been charged it yet.

Everyone other than the cable companies use the BT cables from the exchange

Free sat is a broadcast satellite only. No Internet access.
