Rear caliper bolts
« on: 07 September 2014, 08:23:24 pm »
Hi people,

Newbie here in need of help!

I need rear caliper retaining bolts.  The bolts that hold the two sides of the caliper together, not the mounting bolts.
I bought what I thought were the right bolts from wemoto but they have turned up as the mounting bolts, so will have to remove.

Can anyone help me as to where I can find the correct bolts, or the specifications of the bolts?

Thanks in advance, Lewis.

10mm diameter 45mm long and 1.25mm thread pitch. When I get around to doing my rear caliper the Yamaha bolts will be replaced with stainless ones

Thanks for the replies. On the diagram number 12 looks to be the mounting bolts.  I need the ones that hold the two sides of the caliper together.  Are they the ones described by jules-c?
Thanks

Arbie

Yeah that's the size for the bolts holding the caliper halves together. I took one of mine out to check the size so I could order stainless ones when I finally get around to splitting it to clean the seal grooves out properly and put new seals in. Been running with no dust seals since January when the main seals were replaced for MOT
