Black Hugger for a 98-01 FZS600 (5DM1, 5DM4 or 5DMC ), excellent condition. Bought from somebody on here but never fitted (to my bike). £35 (+P&P) Adjustable fork caps (and all internal washer / spacers etc). If you've got a 98-99 (5DM1 or 5DM4) with non-adjustable forks, best (cheap) thing you can do to improve the front end. Again, bought from somebody on here (Matty, in this case) and never put on mine. £20 ono (+P&P)[SOLD] Scorpion carbon can for a 98-99 (5DM1 or 5DM4), great condition (inc strap, link pipe). stamped not for road use, but isn't ridiculously loud by any means, I never had any bother from our friends in blue while it was on the bike. £50 ono (+P&P)

I'm after 1 or 2 old brake discs for a wee project/idea - anybody got any old (worn out) ones they don't need and are willing to donate? Ideally in the North East, so I can collect rather than forking out for postage.

Has anybody used one of these? Looking for something to keep the dust and other crap off the bike through winter (in the garage), so not fussed about it being waterproof (probably better if it isn't?)

Am buying a new bike this week, but keeping the Fazer (had her too long, part of the fixtures and fittings around here ). Started looking at insewerance (had pretty good quotes, so wasn't worried), but have just seen that they'll only allow the NCD on one bike at a time. Does this mean I need to take a multi-bike policy? (Because I ain't going from 14 years NCD to starting from scratch!) Just tried ringing my ins comp, but after about 7 questions "press 1, press 2" etc, the barstewards then decided to say the office was shut. Why can't the foccers do that before the questions?!? Wouldn't be so annoyed, but I was on the phone to them earlier, put the G/F on the fazer policy, never thought to ask them about the new bike, as they were way down the list of indicative quotes I'd got from thebikeinsurer.com. Yeah, I know, my fault that one

Hey y'all, I'm on the point of buying a bike from a guy in Bolton, was just wondering if anybody knows him, and whether he a) dodgy as can be, or b) as honest as can be. Name of Jools, lives on Kildare St in Farnsworth. I know its a long shot, but I know there's a few of us from down that way, so ya never know

needs to be told this?
Specific Carbtune extra instruction:DO NOT SUCK CARBTUNE WITH YOUR MOUTH. That little sentence comes from Morgan when you order their Carbtune.... Who on earth tried it, made them selves ill and (presumably) tried to sue, to make them even think of putting this sentence in the order confirmation email?!?

Quoted from Paddy Tyson at MAG.... The DSA have just released the bikes that they have approved as test suitable for the new licensing categories that come into force Jan 19th 2013. Interestingly they state: For machines not on this list or where an individual machine has been restricted to comply with the minimum test vehicle requirements it will be accepted for test providing certified proof of compliance or restriction is available for the examiner. Unfortunately they haven't managed to include any bikes from those barely known manufacturers, HONDA and BMW, but as a way of proving how closely they keep their fingers on the pulse of motorcycling, you'll be delighted to know that a Brough Superior is an approved test vehicle.... See the whole list here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_202135.pdf
And we pay for these muppets to exist and breath our good oxygen...

MrsRichfzs needs a new boiler, and the guy she's had round is recommending a direct replacement (non-combi) to use the existing header tanks & hot water tanks etc. I thought the drive was to always put combis in now? Is there any benefit to sticking with the storage tanks? Any info gratefully received etc etc, so that I can once again appear like the font of all knowledge to her

Another "too nice to be true" rock star has let himself down - Mick Hucknell has been arrested for shagging a rabbit. When he was interviewed about his crime he just said that he'd been "Holding back the ears" and that "Bunny was too tight to mention"...
I'll get me coat...

There has to be one (or two) in the font of knowledge that is FOC-U;)
How much should I be paying for 56 m2? No steps, manhole covers etc to negotiate, no retaining wall needed, so a simple job.
Been quoted 5400, using Grade 1 MOT instead of the - forget its name - yellow hardcore alternative? Thats from a company that are known to be pricey, but do a good job (in theory anyway, neighbours drive is dropping a bit where the car wheels run (but not, bizarrely, where the car is normally parked!). Its Beamish cobbles too, not yer standard blocks.
Is it close to a decent price? Got another guy coming tomorrow, much smaller outfit, see what he says...

of this story?? His family claim he was too big? And? Is a mortuary expected to have fridges to fit every fat bloater in their area? Why the hell should my taxes go towards paying for their grief? I have no problem paying for Mr Average Joe, in such circumstances, but a line has to be drawn somewhere - and it has to be before a picture can be taken where the guy barely has a chin. If the family, who apparently loved him so much, want a fridge big enough to fit him, they can bloody well pay for it themselves. I've not had a good day, but if Elsie wants to wants to say goodbye to her "loved" one, she'll have to deal with the reality, not try to blame it on somebody else and comfort from that. "How can I let him go when I can't say goodbye? It's just wrong." FFS, welcome to the world.

Another boiler question...
Mine has just gone pop, potentially permanently, what are the good makes for replacement? I seem to recall Worcester Bosch being mentioned a fair bit, any others?

Am considering starting a small mail order business, running from home. I've got plenty of room for stock etc, but had a feeling there was a covenant on the property... Dug the deeds out, and sure enough there's one about not running a trade manufacture or business.
I've also heard that covenants can sometimes be easily removed - does anybody know if this is likely to be such a case? And if not, is there likely to be any real hassle over a small mail order business?

A mate of mine had an accident in Kashmir a couple of years back, knocked off his Enfield Bullet and broke his leg. Last night I found out a) that he's going back later this year to complete the trip (Manali, Leh, Lohtang Pass, all that good stuff) and b) that he had a helmet cam running at the time of the accident. I'm not normally an accident video "poster", but given he posted it himself on youtube, and he got away with bust lower leg and some bruises, and its such a "How the foc did you get away with that?", I'll make an exception...

Anybody use an alternative to iTunes?
According to Wikipedia, there are a few options, but the one I tried (doubleTwist) appears to actually only support Android devices. Which is fine, as far as it goes (I have an Android phone), but would like one piece of software that can handle my Ipod as well as the Android phone.
Can anybody help, save me reading umpteen websites and/or trying many more pieces of software?
