Plug 'n' play gear indiator
« on: 23 March 2013, 07:13:12 pm »
Hey, Has anyone ever fitted a plug 'n' play gear indicator, to there fazer, I have a 2009 FZ6 S2, and just purchased said item from PZ Racing, what i'd like to know is, what colours are the wires for the speedo and rev counter, and where abouts on the loom is the best place for me to splice into.
Thanks

If it's a plug and play indicator then you won't need to do any splicing mate, it'll come with a little plug in loom that as the name suggests, you just plug into the bikes loom to use!

If it's still the same from the last time I looked at these, there isn't a PnP version for the FZ6, so you have to cut into the loom which put me off getting one.

Now I just try to keep a mental count of which gear I'm in :)

Yep, defo not pnp  then, anyway i've managed to find the wires to splice into, (speedo is white with a yellow stripe and the rev counter is a grey wire) i only have about 1 1/2" from the ECU to play with in a restricted place, i'll have a go over the weekend
