I did Vaseline regularly my TDM,
TDM ?????? Tiny Dick Member !
 
I use clear silicon grease for stuff like that (not on my TDM though cause it stings)

Solid advice folks, will lob some vaseline into it and see if it improves!


Re: getting a new key cut, surely getting one copied off the worn key will just give me a sharper worn key?  :lol


It might need replacing down the line but i'd rather not have to carry a second key to open the petrol tank either!

Shoved a small amount of vaseline into the ignition at the weekend. I have to say that it does seem that there is a small improvement.

It won't fix it  :(
but will ease the movement of the worn bits inside, will take a little while for the Vaseline to work it's way around in there to lube up all the bits
