pillion complaint/numb balls (?)
« on: 26 March 2013, 11:04:40 am »

neither me nor my pillion have got fat arses. when we ride together there's a gap between us and she slides down from her 'ledge' (by that i mean the raised bit of the seat) and finds herself with her arse half on the ledge half on my part of the seat. she's uncomfy and my balls turn blue. she has to shove herself back to get back onto her ledge.

if i lay over the stank my arse skoots back and fills the gap but i'm not going to ride all day flattened over the tank.

has anyone experienced this? and if so have you solved it? i guess she's going to have to lean on the tank but she's small and i hardly notice her presence on the bike and she likes to cling to me a la koala bear.

we've ridden many other bikes together and never had this problem.

any advice gratefully received.

Here's your answer, passengers stick like glue, they work extremely well.  :)

If the sticky seat don't work you could give this a try - I prescribe 1 to be taken four times a day for the rest of your life - that should cure it!

Can't help with the problem, but the image of a pillion hanging like a koala bear made me smile, cheers! :thumbup

koalas don't have opposable thumbs so even if she gets through the theory, the controls might create problems.

A common problem to be honest, the seat cover/pad thing will help her stay in place, another thing to suggest to her is that when you're about to brake/roll off the throttle and decelerate in any way then she places a hand on the tank to brace herself against and then she'll not slide forward as much.

Nothing worse than getting your balls squashed on the tank  :(   :o   :'(

Hope the grippy pad helps

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

They definitely work, i've had one on the bike for years and couldn't believe the difference.
The main thing for me was having inexperienced passengers nutting me, i think that was my initial reason for buying it in the first place.

2 theories here ... either you learn to ride sitting backwards ...therefore make it worth while her slipping down the seat  :b .... or as somwhere above ...the grippy rubber netting stuff worked well when i had my fazer ...
Working on this bit :OP

One of these theories is by far the easiest.... better get some longer stalks for your mirrors and turn around buddy! haha.. I wonder how safe crotchless trousers are in an accident.. haha  :lol

Hahah!! Surprised that back wheel can turn... looks like we're going to need a slightly stiffer suspension! hahaha!
