I've scraped my pegs a ton of times, toe scrapers a few times but not got my knee down once.

Having seen Fuzzy's Knee down pic (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,13799.msg155891.html) I was wondering which one tips the bike over more.  I've heard that bikes are actually more upright when doing a knee down than when staying firmly on the seat.

I've also heard that getting tourers over is harder than sports bikes so does that mean that if you can handle a sports tourer well that you'll find a sports bike easier ?

Is my educated guesswork correct ?

Cheers

The angle of the dangle is equal to the heat of the meat in the midday sun.

Rear tyre chicken strips are eradicated before hero blobs touch down,
Depending on riding style knee down is achieved plenty before hero blobs hit-
This is on the exit of the corner, picking bike up off of having the hero blobs scrape the corner, knee still firmly down.

I'll be changing the pegs for better clearance and lean angle for next trackday
Some say...

Knee down is a technique.
Peg/bellypan/crashbung is sheer angle of dangle
I get my knee down on the road arseing about around roundabouts. On track I tend not to be so exuberant with the body so use more lean angle (a lot more)

Scraping bits of the bike is far more manly than knee down, that's just for posing ;)

I've never had my knee down but used to scrape the blobs on my Blades. Not done it to the Fazer yet but I think I might have grown up.  Or gotten scared.

Knee down is something you usually do on the track, right? Well, on the track, you'd also be shifting your body weight on the bike - bum cheek off the seat? This to stabilise the bike in the corners. So in actual fact, doing that, you'd actually be leaning the bike less than if you just sat central on the seat, so less likely to be scraping the pegs I'd have thought.
