fzs600 testing

haven`t been on here for a few days......busy testing jet sizes etc with a guy my mate knows whos well into carb tuning etc. between us we decided to go up one size on the main jets only as pilot jets seemed to give required response. end result is above. took it out and bugger me, it reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally flies now. wish it was mine $:\$

next thing i will keep an eye on will be increase in mpg. well chuffed. oh the boss was so pleased she didnt hesitate filming the vid when i said i was going to upload same. hope you enjoy. one final footnote: the db killer is out because the boss likes to run it without and menace the locals.

makes no difference to performance in or out.............oooooooooooooooooooooeeeeerrrrrrrr missus

i thought fazers ran rich as per norm, im guessing that maybe they dont run as rich as some think?

cheers matey...yep we discussed the `richness` but as there is a k and n fitted ( better breathing apparently

) maybe the extra `bit` was obviously needed to balance out the `leany` ( is there such a word....there is now) issue. we discussed at length i might add, why the bike run sweet as a nut on original jets with replacement end can and k and n filter for best part of 2 years. we come to the conclusion that smoke and mirrors came into play at some point.

still a total mystery. bike now runs as it did ( if not more pokey ) before.

I really genuinely hope Red gets his sorted too. obviously i know firsthand how frustrating and demoralising it can get at times, but in all fairness, he seems the type who will see it through to the end

thanks mate for the kind comments. the bike is on a w plate ( 2000) and yes it is my artistic work for what its worth.

. my main work on bikes tends to be the oily bits.....rarely the shiny bits

.....dos`nt make sense but as you say "smoke and mirrors" has a lot to do with these things.......so the boss needs to pay you in some way

. i will still persue the reasons behind the original running condition / sh&tty running and now. The only thing i do know is that we did not move 50,000 feet down a mega mountain to sea level in the last few months and throw the mix into meltdown

. really good to hear your making good progress and had a cracking run out today toboot. keep at it matey. needless to say, we are all willing to get things sorted with you and continue to suggest / advise where necessary ( mostly porny(?) things unfortunately ). you must be close to a solution in my opinion, if you were able to do a nice run-out like today which obviously isn`t a 2 minute flip around the block. keep at it buddy. will keep my `thinking head`

Congratulations ade - I've been following your posts wondering if you would ever get it fixed!
Just through reading the millions of posts regarding the stutters I have learnt quite a lot - if future foccers ever search for the word 'stutter' I think they would be overwhelmed by the number of search results!

. its certainly up there with what tyres and what brake pads. but hey, thats what these fab forums are all about.I certainly got heaps of advice / help and support ( gawd it sounds like a therapy session

) from great members on yer ! ........even got some kind souls to go out and rev the b*lls off there bikes despite risking the neighbours hob-nailed boot up their a&se

there were noticeably 2 members who proved quite the opposite however and became a real hinderance and distraction in the end.

nevertheless despite all this smut and filth that they tried in vain to heap upon me, i managed to battle on through highs and lows ( cue violins ) until my personal goal was achieved. never in the field of human endeavour has some much been achieved by me alone !!!!!!!!!!!

. cheers guys for all the input. give yourselves a big pat on the back.......or a&se.....whichever floats ya boat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
