Another Wales Trip
« on: 29 March 2014, 09:39:14 am »
Got chores to do this morning (half of em done) but if the rest get finished in a timely manner, I might chuck the tent on the bike and head for Erwlon campsite at Llandovery so I can make best use of Sunday for a good bit of exploring. Anyone else about that way?

Hope to be at Llandovery by 5/6pm ish. Will either be at the campsite or in the West End café this evening. I've got an idea for a ride for Sunday heading north on smaller mountain roads, so won't be a hooning trip, but will decide as I go. (Never ridden Horseshoe Pass for instance).

Cheers Noggy. Pushed it to the absolute limit today; 447 miles, plus 124 miles yesterday from home to campsite. I think I still need about 2 weeks holiday in Wales - can't get enough of the place!
Was going to try to get photos of Flint and Rhuddlan castles, but it was gone 3pm by the time I left the Ponderosa café on the Horseshoe Pass, so turned around and headed home - scenic route!
Absolutely shattered now, but well worth it  :)

Swings and round abouts  we get overtime for working the extra hour and don't lose the hr if lucky enough to be working on that nightshift too.  I'm just now coming to miss them both now or in the case of yesterday lose an hr sleep :(

Have a good one Bri, hope you do get the weather. Wasn't even chilly at night/early morning, but I'd take a warm layer for the campsite just in case.

Guess who's throwing a sickie today  :rolleyes  Over did it really, but worth it!  :b

BST clock change worked out ok for me. Forgot the clocks changed on Saturday, thought it was Sunday, but we can now all ride later into the evening with daylight - can see me overdoing it some more! Work sucks anyway...
