Title: FZS600 parts coming your way..maybe August time..who's interested.
Post by: noggythenog on 07 April 2014, 11:38:12 am

Ok i've made my mind up.....when i get back from my Scotland trip in June i'm gonna strip the noggyfighter..an MOT'd & well loved bike that took a tumble....it is sad to strip her....but even sadder to just give her away....1 fazer shall die to keep many others alive.

As it will be a foccers only sale i'll check prices on ebay & breakers etc....then i'll reduce mine so that they are the cheapest (unless some knobber is selling stuff stupidly low, it wont be a charity).

Pic shows bike in all its glory, pic taken a few days ago.

BLING BITS:-

BLue silicone coolant hoses (some still not fitted)....very rare items (group buy only)-Thunderoants dibs.
Fancy CNC fazer engraved torque arm.(my favourite part)..also very rare..only ever seen 1 other.Mwales dibs
Stainless down pipes.Mwales dibs
Red Fox rear hugger in grey carbon type effect.fazersharp dibs - awaiting confirmation.
Grey Renthal 758 ultra low handlebars wrapped in double sided sticky tape for switch gear grab.Thunderoants dibs.
Blue CNC shorty levers.Mwales dibs
Renthal Blue annodised bar ends.Thunderoants dibs.
Set of Perception components jack up dog bones (greater than 25mm rise).Mwales dibs
Set of lowering dog bones (lower than originals, on bike when i bought it).Andyl dibs
Polisport MX headlight (anyone got an old mx bike?).Havoc dibs with bracket & indicators
Simmi performance end can & baffle, superficial damage & scrapes but still works & sounds ace.keeping as a shed ornament
Renntec crash bars...need a proper paint job...please see current paint as merely protection as i cant paint. Now sold.
K&N air filter with about 3k miles on it.Mwales dibs.

Sport front fender in black - D8nny6 dibs.

Yamaha xt660 mirrors.Havoc Dibs.

Left rear footrest & hanger - Lazarus dibs.

Seat - Boristhethird dibs.

Forks - Crh dibs.

Original 2 front brake calipers - Tefer dibs.

Rear Caliper - Tefer dibs.

Centre stand - Andybesy dibs.

Triangle covers (the lock ones) - Emjaydee dibs.

Swingarm - Emjaydee dibs.

BITS OF INTEREST:-

Wheels & tyres...only just fitted Michellin Pilot 3's  - update - may sell wheels complete with new tyres with no more than 1k miles plus discs - price tbc.

2 x spare blue spot front calipers (as is of Christos bike).
Extra pillion grab rail...so 1xblack & 1xSilver.- black one possibly Taylor dibs.
Fully intact aftermarket fibreglass boxeye fairing requiring paint.
Bulletproof engine that doesnt jump gears etc...treated with activ8 additive...will have done circa 18k miles at sale time....has been fitted with upgraded sprocket nut so no shaft issues with the gearbox.- update will only have 15k miles - fizzypies dibs.

Carbs....never give me any issues....i store over winter & they haven't got blocked or stuck open...i have been using fuel additives over winter store & after starting up...they'll be getting well used prior sale so ideal time to get whilst known working & haven't sat around for ages.

As well as the original front fairing mount sub frame which has been bent into position...i also have a straight one which i got from a foccer...i'll sand it down & paint it with hammerite...looks like it came from a fazer that was in all weathers rather than crashed....like rocking horse shite in non bent condition.

Also have an extra tail section centre piece......in slow Blue :b

Original screen.

Left side mirror and bracket.

BAD BITS

Rear brake switch wiring need properly attaching.
Tank has a dent & scrape but is useable.
Right side rear plastic has been scratched & scraped & covered up.
Right side engine cover at bottom has been scraped & covered up...still useable.

EVERYTHING ELSE

As per normal

Okey dokey, welk we'll, say they're yours then...i havent thought about price but in the interest of being fair i usually go on the mantra of half price for mint condition 2nd hand.....buyer & seller are usually happy with that...i wont take the piss just coz they're rare....as said some of the smaller ones (upgrade pack) are still not fitted. 8)

Bring it on buddy.....or should i say BLING it on!!!!

It will be a ballache for me dismantling everything....i need some new tools for a start...which will be an investment anyway.

All easy parts will come off first but i can see some benny hill moments coming........like giant Jenga but with a bike.

Markwales is on a buyathon & he can pick up....just waiting on confirmation & i'll update the top to show dibs.

He is fast...naturally as he rides a silver bike. :b

The aftermarket fairing is still up for grabs.....lets not me be stupid with prices though....you can have it for £30 plus postage as it still needs a bit of dosh to get it sprayed......of course unless someone local grabs it up but there aint many folk local to me to be fair...howds that sound?

Hey buddy..these crash bars are actually controversial...they are by far the most annoying part to ever fit.......to anything :evil :evil :evil ...honestly i think id rather take the crash damage.

So I've said to crh if he wants them he can have them cheap...just waiting on a reply...if he doesn't want them then the first person to post on here...not by pm...... .......that can pick them up......can have them for free...but dont blame me when you start swearing at them....oh this is fun....i should get my own fazer crystal maze where i throw free fazer parts about :b

Edit......rear hugger...if it comes off in one piece and is good then £35 plus postage...obviously pick up overides delivery.....ill leave it a few weeks for a picker upper to put dibs & by then ill get delivery dibs on.....interested????

Okay no worries  :) . I have to disagree with the engine bars though, the hardest thing to fit to a Fazer is a foccing Mivv stainless end can. Itallian bastards have given me the wrong clamp, have bought 2 now and neither are working right. I think one is right but I need a new gasket to give the clamp something to clamp on to because the old one is too wrecked now. I'm starting to think the link pipe may be wrong? MOT is next week  :eek ....

Oh shit mate...defo dont compound problems by having bars too then. :'(

I could have said id check the link pipe for my simmi can but you need it in a week plus i best keep mine for if anyone wants the end can.

I also have an original can....dont you have the original you can chuck on for the mot????

Also ive updated above about the rear hugger...see couple posts up...interested????

If its in nice condition when you get it off then yeah £35 sounds good to me as long as you don't mind posting and nobody else who can collect gets in there first. Yeah I still have the standard end can, I havent booked the MOT yet but it runs out on the 12th. I am very confident it will pass if I get this gasket in time and it all fits together with the correct clamp. Its the first aftermarket can I have ever bought, it is nice but I'm starting to wish I had gone for my 2nd choice instead now which was a British Pipe Werx can.

Sorry for the :hijack Noggy!

If I go for USD forks on this round of modding (funds and time allowing), I'll have a front end going spare. Just sayin'.

Also, if you like that kind of thing, my fork lowers are polished. Shiny!  :D

Noggy,

What's the engine like? What's the mileage on it?

Greg

Engine is brilliant, 14.5 k miles at present, it had the updated sprocket nut attached at 9k miles, has no issues with gear jumping & ive treated it to Activ8 friction reducer.........i'd be looking for £150 plus postage which is pretty cheap for a good motor.

Fizzy pies has expressed interest & i said he could have first refusal......if you defo want it then i can go back to him just to confirm whether he defo wants it or not.

Right foccers.

A other noggy conundrum moment :'(

Been doing lots of thinking ref this and my other very long reccomend me a bike thread......ill keep it simple...ill post the main question first.....& then all the complete piffle behind it afterwards.

So the question is.......do yous foccers mind hanging on til the end of the season for these parts ie September ish.??????????????????????

Now the saga:-

Originally i just wanted to do my Scotland trip...then strip it....but that leaves the rest of the season with either no bike....or a new bike with no time to ride it coz im too busy stripping the old bike....storage issues etc etc.

So annoying the MOT is due in August.......if it passed then happy days i could say im gonna run it til the end of the season and then strip it.....& then i dont need to buy a new bike til next season which means a newer bike & more money saved up....plus ill actually have the bike strip money to put up front.........all good.

But if it fails the MOT.....im stuffed......no more 2014 season for me.....unless i fork out more money to fix it....so i fork out £35 for an mot then say another £100 just to ride it for another 2 months which is also a waste. (If im honest the only thing worrying me about mot is the front lights).

So i gotta weigh it up......no doubt signing up to a new bike just for 2 months of this season is still the bigger waste of money.

Trouble is you just dont know.....part if me says just stick it in for mot and find out but if it fails i then cant ride it as a fail will void the last pass.....but if it is a cheap pass then all good i can still enjoy this season on a fazer.

But dont want to foc yous about.

But will yous mostly be waiting til after the season before yous do the bits n bobs anyway.....cant remember anyone being desperate....all dibs will still stand.

What says yous????

Hey chaps

Noggyfighter went straight through the MOT today this proving her quality and this was confirmed by the tester who said it was a clean bike apart from the obvious missing fairing.

So a little bit sad.

But there will be an MOT'd frame with docs at some point.

Good condition buddy

Only 14.5k miles...ive never had a pillion & it didnt crash on that side, actually no damage on the other side either....just the usual really so could do with a quick clean up when off the bike...obviously id give a quick clean off but it wont be mirror clean or owt.

Yours for a mere £10 plus postage if you want it.lets say £3.50 postage at a pure guess.

I would say useable.

I mean it is pretty strong, no sign of cracking pipes like i seen on one before when someone tried fitting a rad hose.

Theres a bit of alu screw snapped off inside one of the side fin holes so you cant fit the tarty plates......the fins have taken a few meteor impacts or been hit with Chuck Norris Bees.

Ye useable is about all id say about it.

What's the difference between the gen 1 and the gen 2 calipers? Apart from the obvious colour difference!

Not sure, think they are the same...

Sorry for the hijack  :rolleyes

Fairing £30 plus postage if youd like it buddy

Not sure on the frame...think i paid £40 off another foccer which sounds a little steep now as it needs sanding and painting....but they are really difficult to find.....hmmm....lets just say £60 plus postage for both o them..we are foccers after all...cant even find one on ebay coz they all been bent but i see folk want £15 just for the poxy mirror frame.......i can get pics up for you first if you like?.

The can is a bit scratched mate im afraid it took a crushing during my fall.

& my missuss got me it as a birthday present oops.......in the interest of keeping her happy i think ill need to hang on to it for a while....either mod it to my gen2 which aint likely to fit.....or hang it in the man shed.

Hey havoc i best get you some pics later coz it's a box eye front fairring......just the basic fairing with holes for the lights and indicators....fibreglass copy....been attacked by someone with a gold spray can....at least it wasnt blue i suppose.....if it is a disposable item your after then you could just attack it again with a spray can of your choice.

Also the brackets for box and fox eyes are different too so are you sure it is box eye stuff you are after????

Sorry mate i got wrong end of stick...i thought you were after the other fairing i have.

But sounds like you're after the streetfightered front.

Basically it is the original bracket bent back into place, painted with hammerite..........an polisport mx headlight strapped to it via the rubber straps...custom attachments for the indicators bolted to the side of the fairing.

I mean i could do you a deal on it all if you like...just need wired in to your bike with someone knows what they're up to (i didnt).

It's ideal as a summer thing but the light is seriously crap.....mot worthy...just passed yesterday but at night it is more like a ships light ie for others to see you rather than a light for seeing far yourself.

Well the light cost me £50

Indicators...cant remember but they weren't expensive.

Plus mended and painted sub frame.

Gimme £20 plus postage....id be happy with that....cheap safety for the fox eye...it dont look the prettiest bit it does the job.....they are just standard bulbs..no led so you dont need any relays.

Was just thinking about them yesterday.

When i get my Gen2 next thursday im gonna quickly see how they look on it coz i like look of gen 2's without the massive bug mirrors...but if they look crap then they are yours for the 600.

They were brand new genuine yam items when i got them....small scrapes on the right hand spanner attachment where i was putting them on but aoart from that they are good strong items

Good condition buddy

Only 14.5k miles...ive never had a pillion & it didnt crash on that side, actually no damage on the other side either....just the usual really so could do with a quick clean up when off the bike...obviously id give a quick clean off but it wont be mirror clean or owt.

Yours for a mere £10 plus postage if you want it.lets say £3.50 postage at a pure guess.

ok - remember me when you get round to breaking it.

could still do with that engine nog, if only as a spare

Of course mate......ill need it picked up though as i don't even have space in my shed for it...it is tarped up and sat in the garden........I've drained the fluids , filled the holes & greased the ends but i cant imagine an engine sitting around like that for ages would be good for it.

Have a think about it or research storage coz no sweat with me as there will be a foccer soon enough needs an engine due to failure and i could make a smidge more to someone i don't know who doesn't get mates rates while still being under ebay prices.

I could happily sell it now in the knowledge that i only just rode the bike about a week ago but i wouldn't be so confident if the bike was sat in the garden for 6 months.....although i do winter store it each year without any drama.....but more than 6 months on an old engine i dunno bud.

Purely up to you mate.....id be the same but look at it this way...i was like that with christos brake calipers and did i end up using them?...did i foc.....now im sat with 2 brake calipers that i cant personally vouch for and need to sell on. :evil

Tbf there aint much of bling value left (if the dibbers keep dibs)......it would need to be stuff that someone absolutely needed ie tiny obscure and boring parts.

Rgr on the second dibs :thumbup

The clips are all in my bag of bits...mostly rusty or passed their best..although they did the job....i never got clips when i ordered my hoses as i just used the original ones as i went along...the oem yam ones are prob best anyway as you already have the strange looking circlip type fasteners on some of the hoses whereas if you ordered from the hose place you'd just get plain old jubilee clips.

Hello Wai, welcome to Foc-u

Yes still available if you would like it.

There's a little scuff on the right hand indicator backing.....please see pic number 1......nowt really.

To make up for this scuff ill include an additional indicator......please see middle of pic number 2.

& there's the option of a set of small arrow indicators......please see pic number 1 again.....still in the packet.....carbon effect rear.....standard bulbs not led's although the bulbs will need swapping out for the correct rated normal bulb to stop quick flashing, this happened with the other set that i used previously on the front.

I want to clear £20 profit from the undertray and standard indicators ie after any paypal fees and postage costs.

& if you want those arrow indicators too then you can have them for a bargain £5

So £25 plus postage for the undertray, 3 standard indicators plus 2 aftermarket indicators.

What ye say?

Please let me know the total including postage and paypal fee.

I had registered with the old site before it moved here. Then stopped biking for 5 years, so resurrecting the old fazer that's been sat in the garage for all this time.

Hopefully it'll still run once I fit a new battery in it...

Ok Wai, well welcome back, i am sure you will get plenty help on here with getting it back to full working order.

Put up a re-introduction and a picture of the mighty fazer as it is now and I'm sure you'll find everything you need whether it be parts or advice.

It may be Friday when i get to post it......and ill try to look at my hermes for delivery as it is usually quite cheap.....when i know for sure what the price is then ill send you a message to let you know.

I don't know what percentage paypal takes as a commission but if you are happy on the basis of my previous threads on this topic then you can send it as a gift for no extra cost.

Ill message you thursday or friday when i have it all sorted out.

Cheers

Hi,

Is the fibreglass boxeye fairing available?  If so how much are you asking?

Dan

I only want £20 quid for it......it is postage that will be the killer on something so strangely shaped.

Mind you i often think just a bit of cling film over it and hey presto as it's pretty obvious what it is then to the courier who would be stupid to then chuck it about whereby something in a box could be anything......so just gets chucked about......if i could just cling film it then postage would probably be circa £15 ish.

Do you want it?

Hi again,

Yes, I would definitely like the fairing.  My Fazer has been badly streetfightered by a previous owner and it was no fun yesterday on the M62 into a headwind!

At our work we use FedEx everyday for deliveries and collections.  So, if you can put it in a box and put some sort of packing - newspper/bubblewrap etc.  then I can get it picked up from you by Fedex from any address as long as it's a weekday.

Don't know if this helps, and obviously you will need some pennies to cover the packaging.

My profile is set to allow emails from members so if you want to email me direct and I can pay by paypal?  And arrange if you want me to get collected (after payment of course), or if not convenient you to send it to my works address (Larsmum would moan at MORE stuff arriving).

Dan

Just a quick note to say thanks to Noggy for the fairing.

Sir you are a scholar and a gent!

You were really being more honest than an honest thing when you stated the fairing was rough and ready!  It is infact far far better condition than anything I have seen on fleabay for much much more money.

Once it has had a tickle  with the fine filler and sand I'm sure it will spray up a treat!

Thanks

Thanks geezer 8)

Well im glad it has gone to a good home anyway and that it turned up in 1 piece.

And good luck with the build up on the front end.

Did you know that i actually have a front fairing bracket.....i bought it ages ago for £40 but when i got round to looking at it it had allot of surface rust......i've now hand sanded down the worst of the rusty bits and hand brushed a thick load of Hammerite black striaght to rust paint on it.

Id take £40 posted for it.

Just a thought that you might need one eventually.

To be fair you might get lucky and get one on ebay for a little less and then paint it up yourself.
