I will be back bud but I'm still paying child maintenance which doesn't end until next year and I can't really afford to do too much until then.

On a positive note, I retire in three years time!

I hope everyone is well and the Frolic, in time, will return. 👍😊

« on: 07 January 2014, 09:08:58 pm »
In light of recent sad news and on the back of a number of requests I am going to hold a Frolic this year so that we may remember absent friends in the way that we would be best honoured. In short, and for those who've never been, it'll be a weekend of drunkenness, debauchery, reminiscing and general dicking about.
I may get my Fazer out of retirement but we also have a fantastic mountain bike center two miles up the road which I'll take peeps to if they wish.
I'll check my Rota for September time and post accordingly and wholeheartedly look forward to welcoming friends old and new back to the Forest of Dean. :D

Suzz, I'm more than happy to help you run this and did consider organising myself but I am heavily committed with the Olympics this year which will involve time away. I am quite happy to do the fetching and carrying though and will call you tonight to discuss more.  :kiss

Yeah I thought that to, apparently, and I have no idea about jewellery as it's never been my thing, they are quite nice rings, 22ct gold and the engagement and eternity rings are quite valuable so just looking for the best price really. :rolleyes

Jo and her sister have some items that they want to sell, wedding, engagement and eternity rings. I thought taking it to a local jeweller who knows me and may offer me the best price unless anyone knows how to maximise the price I'll get for these items. I'm open to suggestions. Cheers, Madders :)

By way of an update, I asked the lovely Jo to marry me, on a romantic weekend away and following her successful trial, and I am delighted to say that she said yes, further endorsing her credentials as being a good judge of character and of sound mind. Just need to draw up the pre nup now. :deal :fish :pokefun :woot :kiss :lol :lol :lol

Hello Moff, I appreciate your list of desirables but here's my two penny worth.

The new Mondeos are used as dog vans in Gwent and ragged, hard and regularly and are generally well liked and considered bullet proof.

I have a Peugeot 407 which is shite!!! It scrubs tyres out with ease, tracking goes awry as soon as it's done and it takes about ten minutes to settle after starting due to countless fault and error messages. Got a mate who works at a local VW dealership and swears blind on Skoda Octavias as do a couple of friends who own them Hope this helps.

PS, how did you do those stuffed peppers again, plum tomatoes, anchovies, garlic? Hope you're well bud.

I am shocked as I've only just heard this news. Viv was a lovely, sweet lady and a dear friend. I feel a little awkward now and don't quite know what to say. I remember the day I met her, outside Black Mountain Yamaha and invited her to join us on a ride, there went her introduction to the FOC-U.
I last saw her at our New Years Day meet in the Plas Derwen in 2010 and she told me then that she was in remission. I am terribly sad to say that, that was the last time we spoke.

God Bless Ya Primrose/Rosebud/Viv a true lady and a dear friend. I will miss you. xxx  :'(
