sidestand cut out switch not working
« on: 07 April 2015, 05:13:38 pm »
Before i remove the the said item, any advice would be much appreciated. The small piston is operating ok on the switch so i'm guessing it is the contacts inside it.Can i take it out of the loop easily?I have never had a bike that had one fitted.Any advice please will be welcome.

Easy enough to bypass, but I would certainly would not recommend it for the same safety reasons it exists.

Take it off and try spraying contact cleaner or WD40 into the area by the plunger, I have done this and it has brought a few back to life after operating it numerous times by hand. Many give trouble because the corrode from lack of use

Same as the Carburettor model R6

Later 04/05 ones were upgraded
