Admin, sorry if this is the wrong location but............

On Wednesday evening, I used the Buy it Now feature on 6 items some replacement bolts and screws to replace the soft original Yamaha stuff. Shortly after, I received a revised bill for the postage, and paid, they were dispatched Thursday morning, and arrived this morning, WOW. Each set was individually packed, with a slip that included an exploded diagram for where they went so they didnt get muddled up. To say I'm impressed, is an understatement.

I had a similar issue the other week, I hadn't sat the top plate properly, flush in the basket before doing up the 6 sprung loaded bolts.

As already said, you will also need to fiddle about adjusting the clutch at the lever and sprocket cover.

Are you using these on flip lid helmets or will they fit full face lids?

Full Face, A G-Mac Pilot, AGV K3 and a Nitro. The kit comes with a pinch type clip that slips up the outside and under the cheek pad, or another bracket with some serious sticky stuff on it, I've used both with no issues, both very secure. Just take a little time fitting the mic/speakers, under the padding as it looks better and helps protect the wires.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Help - speedo/electric problem
« on: 30 May 2015, 06:58:22 am »
I've got a 2001 FZS600S and had a similer issue, turned out to be a brake in 1 of the 3 wires in the speedo cable between the wheel and where it connects to the loom, I cut out the bad section, soldered in a new bit, using heat shrink and electrical tape to seal the joints, and BOOM all sorted

Myself and several friends have;

and find it an awesome piece of kit, I have bought a spare clip and headset for my spare lid, but in my other, I use it daily to listen to Music and make calls, both out-going and in-coming. My Mrs has got it on her lid and we've just linked them for helmet to helmet, and thats pukka too.

Highly recommend. I'm riding around 6/7 hours a day and the battery lasts 2 days, My music is very Bass-y and suffer no distortion, gonna buy another set as back up incase this unit goes wrong, which I hope it dont!!
Have used it in sunny warm weather AND very wet heavy rain, no problems.

Controls are easy to navigate with RST summer gloves, am yet to try with thicker Winter gloves.

Hope this helps

This may or may not be a stupid question but I know the front caliper/s have 4 pistons each, are the different sizes? Looking at various kits, I see 2 sizes offered but no explanation, or do I need to pull the calipers off to see what she is graced with? TYIA

I've been using Paul and Andy at Waltham Cross Motorcycles (2010) LTD for many years without an ounce of greif (Paul and Andy bought the business in 2010 and the service standard has gone up 1000% and both really know there onions when it comes to Yamaha's (Paul used to work at woodford I believe!) There a great bunch of guys, always helpful and full of good honest advice. Give em a bell on 01992 625173. If it's a dealer I need for my Fazer, I wont go anywhere else, I'd be mad too.

22
If it's the original black plastic undertray your after, which includes the numberplate and indicator mounts which looks like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FAZER-600-REAR-MUDGUARD-UNDER-TRAY-FZS600-LOOK-BREAKING-BIKE-/151304393345?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item233a71d281

Either, as been suggested, have a word with Mr Deefer666 or I've got one in the shed if your local to Junction 25 of the M25, then make me an offer and if it's fair, I dont see any reason it's not yours

23
If they are the "easy" ones to get at, can you undo the nut that is left, on one of the, lower the collar down the pipe and take a pic of exactly what you want removing?

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Need another speed sensor cable....again!
« on: 29 March 2014, 01:39:38 am »
Hiya, my speedo started behaving erraticly, then stopped working, checked the porcelain part in the wheel, but all was on, with a power probe I checked the 3 cables inside and found 1 to be broke, located the break and cut the rotten bit out, soldered in a new piece of wire with heatshrink and all's good with it, might be worth a look at, saves a lot of grief and isnt noticable. Hope thats of some help.
