Cameltoe
« on: 30 December 2013, 07:04:51 pm »
I always carry one of those plastic sidestand pucks under my seat for when parking up on soft/uneven ground. I find they can be a bit of a faff though, especially when it's time to pick it up and leave.

Anyway, I came across a contraption called the "Cameltoe" on google (don't ask how I found it  ;) ). We all love cameltoes, but this one is different. Its a stainless piece that fits to the bottom of your sidestand increasing it's footprint. Thought I'd share with fellow foccers as I've established that the one for the KTM 1190/990/950 should fit the Fazer 6s.

Can sometimes be found cheaper through ebay

Mate of mine invented 'puck on a string'. Drill a hole in the edge of the puck, attach a cord. Then when you get on the bike, haul up the puck.
Simples

Nice find Fuzzy (and little touch of humour :rolleyes ).
A mate has a big Yamaha trail type bike with a similar thing on which I thought was original fitment, but I could be wrong. I was thinking of making something similar for the FZS600, probably still will as sometimes I like to make things if I can rather than buy it.
At the moment I have a wedge device that slips under the side stand and allows for different cambers by how far you push it under. That is on a piece of string that I loop round the handle bar and just wind in and put in the tank bag when leaving. The string also means I dont drive off and leave it behind  :) .
