2005 Gen 1 Switched Live Question
« on: 13 September 2016, 03:03:51 pm »
Hi fonts of all knowledge,
Just bought a discounted Garmin Zumo from Aldi. Where would be the best and easiest point to hook up to a switched live. Had been under the misapprehension that one side of the horn was the place, but that's not so. Thanks in advance wise ones.

Check out the guide to fitting heated grips on the old forum.

You should find it here - http://fazerowners.yuku.com/topic/5650/HOWTO-Fit-your-heated-grips-PICS-BACK#.V9gxo62oroQ

Skroll down the first page to the photos I added.  You'll see there are spare tags on the live feeds to the fuse box.  Solder on your wire with an inline fuse.

All done. Decided to do the fuse box option. Prising the clips whilst pushing the crimps out was a bit awkward on your own, but other than that very straightforward. Now I'm a fully fledged sat nav wanker. Thanks again guys, what a great forum.
