Title: Recommission the old girl
Post by: clunkie66 on 23 November 2020, 10:54:44 pm
Forgive me for I have sinned. I bought an ex demo Tracer GT in Jan this year, after the old girl developed a few problems. Shock knackered, rear wheel bearing shot to bits - plus various other niggly bits and bodywork showing its age.
So she has sat unloved, languishing in the back of the garage. I felt guilty so have bought a Nitro road shock to replace the leaky Hagon, bearings ordered so off we go.
She was running great, 80k on the clock so once MoT'd will use her for the winter to save getting the Tracer too filthy (maybe a bit late as I broke her in at this year's Dragon Rally during storm wassername  :lol ).
The Tracer is a great all round bike, but I do miss that top end rush that the thou gives you.

Could do with new tyres as well, are Michelin Pilot Roads still the favourite for all weather riding? Was thinking about maybe doing the occasional track day  :eek
Cheers!Colin

The track to this years Dragon was certainly a bit hairier than usual that's for sure. Hat's off to you for taking a new bike down that :lol .

Yeah it was a bit tricky, especially as the weather was shite. Good hoot tho  :D
