How did you get the Speed odometer to function, did you just use the wheel sensor and speed odometer cable from the XJR400?

The FZ400 and FZS600 share  the same disks and wheels as the XJR400.

It was mod by it's last owner, and I don't know how he did this. All I know is that speed odometer is not precise, it go double times as fast as the really speed .

That naked 400 is a rare machine, a few came like that as standard and were used for rider training in Japan with a few modifications. I have only seen one ever in the UK. There should have been a small fuel filter in the fuel line as standard.

Your leak sounds like dirt in the needle valve and drain the carb float bowl normally clears it.

The red Suzuki with the red cam cover is the one with variable valve timing, not to many of them over this way.
That one looks very clean.

Hi Unfazed, nice to meet you due. I'm from southern part of China, Wuzhou city. Naked Fz400 is mod with Yamaha Xjr400's panel, inicators, bar and mirrors and so on... It's very popular here, it's beacaus the weather here is warmer than Europe, it will easier to get cooling when you getting nake.   it won't snow here in the winter.

Yeah, the red Suzuki is GSF-250 A.K.A Bandit, and the variable valve timing we call VC, when over about 7000 rpm it works with higher camshaft to make more powerful output, it's something like HONDA's VTEC.

And the black Suzuki is EN-125, I think it's only sell in China. 125cc bikes is very usual seeing here, over 95% of bikes are 125cc.

I'm 29 from Asia, I bought my naked mod fazer400 no long ago( sorry for my poor english ). This bike is a little bit old, but the enginne is still good, the machine idle speed is very stable, and it start very easy. There is only 2 problems on it, first, it's cluch will slip when you try switch gears in a high rpm. The second problem is the 3rd Carbs had leaking of fuel several days ago, but it recover after I clean the carb, and I don't know when will leaking again, so I add a fuel filter to the fuel hose. This is a black bike, I take this photo at night, so it's a little bit dark.

hello, it's a little bit cold outside here, won't be ride my fazer400 for several weeks, do I need to start the enginne and let it idle running for mins once a week to prevent the machine freeze?
