r6 5sl forks for sale
« on: 22 August 2013, 08:12:45 am »
hi all

i'm selling my 5sl r6 forks...... these are in immaculate condition, slight marking on chrome where bottom yoke clamps around fork, but the rest of the chrome is perfect, no pitting, seals good, all adjusters work perfectly.

i'm selling cos i've gone back to original geometry as most of my riding now is 2 up.

this is a lower cost alternative to r1 forks, they just slide in to original yokes.... you use original wheel with r6 spindle (supplied) and original mudguard fits using additional spacers (also supplied)

i'm looking for 120 + postage for the forks spindle and spacers

thanks for looking.

I'd be very interested, as I need to replace fork seals and get one stanchion re-chromed anyway !

Do they just slot straight in (with adjusters as mentioned) ?

Also how do they change the standard geometry ?

They make the bike lower at the front end. Kebab19 did a post a year or so ago with full details. You could search the forum for it. Cheers

Just finished reading it !

Only issue might be that I'm a fat bastard, and the spring rate in these forks might be to low to cope, do you know if anyone else heavier has done this mod and it's been OK (I'm around 115kg rather than your svelte 75kgs....)

sorry don't have a definite answer for that, but seem to recall someone using Honda blackbird springs
