Stormbringer, if you're are planning on using the M20 to get to the Tunnel you may not be aware of the average speed 50mph sections that will slow you up somewhat. I've found a call to the Highways Agency gives the most up to date info. I'm planning on going across country getting on at Junction 9. A possible useful bit of info is there's a Tesco garage at Junction 10, so a fill up there will get you back to the UK so no need to gas up in France. See you Sunday, ride safe. :thumbup

Update on Tescos Junction 10. I've never travelled on a Sunday before and it turns out this garage although 24hrs opening, this doesn't include Sundays when it's closed until 7am. You can get fuel at Junct 11, just before the Tunnel exit, but it's very expensive.

Just rung the Junction 10 Tescos. They say they have card only 24 hr pumps. I'll give that a go. Post code TN24 0YE.

Hi just an update .
Ben on a Honda NX will be meeting us there as well as Erica BMW F800GT and another couple on a BMW .
I will be on a Honda NX750 Loan bike .
I was knocked of my Fazer  on Tuesday by an Audi A4 .
I was hit from behind on a roundabout and went over the bars .
Few bruises and bumps but OK .
Bike could be a write off .
So will see you all on Sunday .

Oh foc :eek . Glad you're not too badly bashed up. Shame about the Fazer though. Don't rely on my Junction 10 info as getting different info from Tescos depending who I speak to. You can definetely get fuel at Junction 11 but is ridiculously expensive. See you Sunday with my pal. We'll both be on Triumphs.

Stormbringer, thanks for suggesting this trip, really enjoyed it despite the mornings rain, which was expected, so everyone was suitably attired. Excellent turn out by the French despite the weather and fortunately the rain stopped well in time for racing. Hope you're happy with your FZ8 when you get it back. :thumbup

Rear ended by an Audi A4 on a roundabout a week odd ago. Bike could have been written off but Stormbringer wants it repaired. Was on a loan bike for the Le Touquet trip.

This is where the accident was .
The car came from the right on this pic on the inside land where the white van is  .Another car had stopped in the outside lane where the lorry is he recorded the accident on his dash cam .The Audi A4 was doing about 40mph and did not slow at the give way on to the roundabout She hit me from behind ,I went over the bars and landed approx in the middle of the pic .she stopped about 25mts to the left of pic under the A3 bridge.

Ok ,the most impresive thing about it is the MPG .
Averaging 80mpg.
Its a bit basic ,no heated grips or Power outlet or centre stand.

I like the under seat fuel tank and  storage compartment is handy,Both however are to small ,14lt tank  and the storage compartment wont take a full face lid ?

If they sorted the above and added hand guards, shaft or belt drive and gave it a nice dash like the latest BMWs it could be a really great bike .But then I guess that is why its cheap .
I like the look of the new F900 BMW but they have gone back to chain drive and moved the underseat  fuel tank.
