but so what its a nice bike just get out and  ride it and enjoy it


they are suprisingly quick  and a fair bit quicker than an rd200 although when i had one 1981 it was the fastest bike in the world

she`s a 1999  in gold with 15000 miles on her she`s been well looked after regular oil changes etc has a fzs 1000 rear shock mod
and stiffend front
 recent set of tyres and mot`d last saturday  went straight thru no probs


not really sure what shes worth  so any advice welcomed

back to the topic in hand for a moment. Although im a 600 rider, I think the thou (gen 1) would suit my riding style a lot better. It winds me up having to rev the nuts off the bike to get the power out it as I feel like im not being mechanically sympathetic to it. plus when overtaking on b roads i feel like im never done going up and down the box. i think this problem would be far reduced on the thou as the power would be more available lower down the revs and in higher gears.

thats just a personal thing though, but the 600 is still i cracking bike if you dont mind working the gears.

the 600 loves to be revved when you get it on the boil  12000rpm + they really fly and not much will catch it
on the other hand you can tootle down the shops n back n very comfy
suspension needs work as do all budget  bikes but bear in mind it not a race rep its an all rounder n thats what it does very well

my 600 seems quick enough ?? it stays with most bigger bikes  accelerates quicker than most bigger bikes as you can get the power down
 its quicker and more flickable than bigger stuff too in the twisty`s
ok so it tops out around 140-145mph  so what theres not many places to ride these speeds and it not much fun
the funs to be had in the twistys  and riding around power rangers on there super dooper    rc08`s - gsxr1000` -  fireplaces - arse 1`s - etc etc  on a £1500 quid commuter bike really puts a grin in my chin

what do you do carry the bike in a van ?


ive tried allsorts of tyres on a mixture of bikes over the years and the best ive ever had is 4-4500 miles from a rear ( maybe its the way i ride)  but most my mates do roughly same


maybe you could share your riding technique with all of us 

hi take all the goodies off and sell seperate he just wants the bike
 we`d have to rent a van and with diesel costs etc
