Givi rack
« on: 16 February 2017, 07:18:49 am »
Hi, has anyone fitted the Givi PLXR rack to their FZ1 that has a tail tidy on it ?

http://www.motorcycleplanet.co.uk/products/844-givi-plxr359-quick-release-pannier-rack-for-yamaha-fz1-1000-naked/

If yes, is there any butchering required ?

Many thanks.

As far as I remember the rear most fittings go on the indicator brackets and the indicators have to be relocated on the rack. I think you can fit the side frames with a tail tidy though.
Rob

Just been and checked. The pannier frames attach at the indicator points, the rack doesn't. So you can fit the rack with your tailtidy but not the pannier frames.
Whatever though you will need to cut the under tray to fit the big bracket that attaches to the rear sub frame.

Hi Rob

Many thanks for your reply. Looks like I'll be sticking to Kriega and roll bags 👍🏻
