when i had mine done before i had the respray i took the bike to a sign writers they measured & replicated my exsisting decals (i had mine redone in gold to match my wheels) Get the tank & fairing sprayed then take the panels & tank back to the sign writers for them to put the new ones on (bubbless) then get the bits lacquered , had the tank done this way & wished id done the same on the fairing as you catch the decal when polishing & you have to be careful long winded but i hope this helps

Rich, I was chatting to a guy at a biker's cafe who had bought a Corbin seat http://corbin.com/funstuff/media/corbin_ecc.shtml
Dont know about the corbin for your needs, ive had one on my bike for about two years found it to be firm to sit on (might be a bit too firm for your wifes condition) that said i can do long journeys without getting a numb bum & same for the pillion.
The corbin seating area seems wider than stock all i can suggest is that you find somebody with a corbin to let your wife try it before you shell out money cos they aint cheap
i think gel inserts would be the route to take in your situation

Righto the bike has :-
July MOT
26800 miles
3 owners
Serviced regulary by me new oil filter change twice a year, regular plug & filter changes ,exup removed & copper greased every year i am very finicky over maintenance on my bike ive had the bike 6 years.
over the 6 years ive had :-
New chain & sprockets Wheel bearings (2 years ago when i had the wheels powdercoated) Swing arm, rear suspension linkage bearings (no problems just being anal) Carb rubbers x4 just because the old ones where cracked (are you now getting the picture how fussy i am?) Hyperpro progressive front springs & rear spring Adustable levers(due to breaking fingers last year & found it difficult to span the clutch due to scar tissue) New battery Gear indicator/digi gauge (from christian) Datatool alarm with 2 x fobs (1 never used) 2x keys (1 never used)
shed load of receipts & old mots to back up the mileage
This bike is absolutely spotless the only reason for sale is that ive had it 6 years & want a change bought it at 11000 miles never had any trouble at all
any close up piccys of anything just let me know if i can think of anything more ill post it up

When I had my gen1 1000 I changed oil and filter every 2000 miles and in between never had to top it once in 6 years of ownership, but every engine is different so just check the oil level on a regular basis.
Ditto
