Hi,
Got home today put bike on sidestand and spotted oil on the floor.
got down and it was coming down the front nearside corner of the engine..
see the picture.
It ran down where the brown stain is.
can anyone say were this is coming from do i have a hole somewhere.
started the bike and no leak so not sure what is happening.
any help appreciated...

That looks like rust. If oil or water are there, it is likely to be the head gasket in need of replacing.
-
It was definitely oil and ran down from above the head gasket!
If it happens again i will try and get a photo before it disapears.

Drips after you've put it on the side stand can always be misleading. Source may not be from the left side at all.
Thin vertical oil feed pipe in front of the cylinders is prone to rust and then leaks. Worth a look.

If it’s coming from the drain hole in the cylinder head it may just be a bit of seepage from the cam cover gasket.

If that's the case it's coming from the spark plugs, when was the last time you changed them?

Have a look when it's dark using a torch, the oil will shine under light making it easier to spot the source.

Cheers all for the advice.
Fingers x'ed its not a gasket fail.

If it's coming from where you say it is and judging by the colour of the discharge, it's highly likely rust from spark plug bodies. It's common as the plug wells are big water traps if the drain galleries are allowed to block.
Before you remove the plugs clean out the galleries and if you can blow out the plug wells. Be sure to cover them with cloth before you do, so as not to cover yourself and your eyes in crap. By crap I mean grit and small stones as well as water. Once cleaned out thoroughly remove the plugs, before you fit new ones ensure the threads and mating surfaces are clear.
