Probably the phone.
Had similar problems in my Seat with my old Blackberry.
It wouldn't always pair up.
Changed the phone for a new model Blackberry and hey presto, never had the problem ever again!

Yes.  On a blue bike with gold wheels (and a tail tidy) they look  the absolute dogs!
I managed to get them for £200 inc postage.
Well chuffed!!!!!    :b

I really don't understand what everyone has got against the FZ8, apart from the list price when it first came out.
The more I ride mine the more I like it.
OK, it's not as fast as say a Kwacker Z1000 in terms of outright acceleration but the roll-on is outstanding. It has got so much useable torque you rarely need to change down!
The fuelling is about the best I have come across for a very long time; the riding position is extremely comfortable.
All in all, it's a great all-rounder.

Have now fitted some Ixil Hyperlows.
Look absolutely fantastic!  Completely changed the look of the bike.

For Sale & Wanted / Wanted - Aftermarket can for FZ8
« on: 18 December 2011, 02:21:35 am »
Does anyone have an aftermarket can to fit the FZ8?
Must be minter than a minty thing in a mint factory, but fair price paid.
Any offers?

Yes, good write-up.
I was beginning to think that I had bought a bit of a lemon!

Any advice regarding aftermarket cans for the FZ8 will be greatly appreciated.
Not keen on the Akropovic. What others would you suggest?

Spada Airwave.
Good enough except for the coldest of weather.

Slam his truck in reverse and reverse over a mini metro!
Unfortunately, it was me driving the truck!!!!

It didn't help when the guy got out of the metro and said "It's a police car"
Well, I thought he did!
Turns out he actually said "It's a LEASE car"

I've had a Weise jacket for many years, bought from one of Riossi's warehouse clearance sales.
Absolutely terrific in keeping the rain and cold out.
For slightly less cold conditions I use a BMW jacket, BMW boots and a BMW Sportintegral helmet.
All cracking bits of kit.

Introduction / FZ8 in Grimsby

Hi All,
Have just taken delivery of a 2011 FZ8. Not had chance to take it out yet as it was chucking it down with rain when they dropped it off and I have been working the last couple of days.
Hopefully, if we get a break in the clouds tomorrow I'll give it a bit of a thrashing!
Any advice about aftermarket pipes would be appreciated.

Okay then, I've just bought one. I admit it!
3 months old, 1k on the clock for £5500
I know that Yamaha have announced a £1000 price drop on new, but surely £5.5 must be right money?
