Taking advantage of the weather here just had a couple of rides with a full monty and one of Lukes R6 shocks but same old front end as yet.
Ivanised. It is like having a different motor ,the holes I could sit and bimble along in are gone, almost feels like the crank had been lightened, it just wants to rev and now flies through the mid range or what used to be the mid range . I havent ridden the bike for months but remember it as a motor with defined rev ranges . Now its very linear and quick to 10k in 6th, the old top end rush doesnt seem as strong now the dips have dissapeared.
I think that thought only occurred at the top end of 5th & 6th in which case its pish as I didnt notice the first four gears fly through.
I'm well chuffed and might even get a dyno run to see if its better than the R1 I had, 134 as std and 138 with jetting and RS3 can.
Handling wise, Lukes R6 shock mod is plush and makes the front feel even worse
maybe I should learn this wheelie thing , I lifted my forks another 10mm to 20mm and had a nice easy handling bike . So still 20mm to play with to get to R1 forks ride height which I hope will, with the extra weight over the front, improve the fork action.
I doubt I will ever achieve the ride quality I want from the std forks but will confidently predict an increase in fuel consumption as a result of fitting the Ivans kit
