bmw rr 1000 rear shock

anybody know if the first generation bmw rr 1000 rear shock fits a 2005 fazer not sure conflicting answers thanks

Yes, the earliest ones fit.
2010-2012, the shock unit had a fully bronze body such as this: ebay # 2667905415172012-2014 the shock was remained bronze on top but had a silver / alloy finish on the bottom clevis, such as this: ebay # 155356745566 Avoid anything after those years!
