best tonic on the planet
« on: 21 November 2011, 11:00:48 pm »
On Saturday, just when I was feeling life is a bit of a bastid and wondering if perhaps it would be best if I sold my bike I looked out at the lovely winters day and decided to go out for a ride. What a good decision, I went over to visit my 89 year old mum, about 70 miles each way, and put a smile on both our faces. It was such a blast even the cold didn't matter. Think the bike's mine for a bit longer.
 :)

totally agree! cant beat a good blast on a dry day to put a smile on your face and all your woes behind you for a while!

I've done that more than once, I even got to put it in MCN classifieds, and after having had a couple of time wasters round offering me £500 and £800, I decided to keep it and I'm really pleased I did, the money would have gone on something boring and I wouldn't be able to afford another bike.

So until my lottery numbers come up, the Fazer is with me until one of us dies :lol

I came close to putting my old xt up for sale a few years back, it hadn't been out for 18 months and I had the idea that if I didn't ride it before I hit 40 I may as well accept being an ex-biker, got it mot'd and went for a blast and changed my mind there and then, can't beat it!
I do accept being a fair weather biker now though :o , I live too close to work to fire a bike up and spend weekends either boating or too pissed to ride a bike (usually both, who says blokes can't multitask), don't own a car though :)
