On the wiki, i've left some Attn notes on the main page, basicly on the hot poop on foc-u the headings with the Attn's are just links to the main sections about it. What do you want done about those?

How about an intrapage link so that when you click (e.g.) Batteries the page skips down to that section?

ps I've been trying to link the smf users to the wiki users. I can get it to kind of work but there's always a problem e.g. cannot log out, thinks it's logged in when it isn't, cannot log in... Getting there slowly.

Just bumping this one up again for an long awaited update lol

I've finnaly finished the wiki, theres 2 pages that have not been created yet if I can remember correctly the links for those 2 on the original hot poop are dead so no point putting them in.

It all appears to be working fine, anything else i can help out with give me a shout and i promise I won't take as long haha :D :rollin

Oh, and i've dropped the G from my username of the other site, incase it causes a problem if you transfer anything over.

Nice one :thumbup

Seeing as you've done nearly all the work on this I made you 'sysop' - sounds dreadful! It means that you can monitor people's changes to the Wiki and have the power to rollback anything that is spam, malicious etc.

I've logged in as Dan Lewis (i.e. non-admin) and made a minor change to the tyre sizes page - just for illustration. If you go to the Recent Changes page you'll see his change listed with a ! next to it. On that line click Diff. If the update is OK then on the bottom-right click "Mark as patrolled".

We can watch the Recent Changes page to kick out spam or vandalism. I'll be watching the recent updates as well so you won't be stuck with checking every edit, we just need to do it between us.

Regarding my second post above, the linking of SMF users with Wiki users seems to be working and like I said elsewhere an editor has to have an SMF account which appears to have halted the spam.

And thanks for the change of name notification. I guess if the original Andrew comes back we'll have to give him his name back :\ however he hasn't been seen since Nov 07.

I think i've got what I can do now, i'll let you know if there's any problems if there is ever any spam.

On the recent changes page, it disn't show up with an ! next to it "(diff | hist) . . m  Wheel and tyre sizes‎; 10:05 . . (+23)  . . Dan Lewis (Talk | contribs)" is exactly what it shows.

Is the change you made making fzs600 (1998-2003) into a heading?

Yes - a very minor change just to show.

This is the first time I've done this and I've evidently got things wrong! Will have another go tonight or Monday.

Cool, so as above you can click Diff then, check the change and mark as patrolled - this means we won't both be checking the same edits :)

Ah! That's great. The ! disappears when I click mark as patrolled, I assume that's to let you know that I've checked it?

Aye, and when I patrol one you'll know I've done it :)

See, one of the hopes of the new site is that it'll be kept up to date by the membership, rather than Admin controlling everything. So hopefully Hot Poop will have many edits to update it for the FZ6 and other bikes (but we need to keep out spam and vandalism).
