One word, 8 letters, 2 syllables, begins with F, ends with OOK.

And I don't think the newbies know each other well enough to use MFU. Might take a meet or two to get it going, whether National, Local, or a Weekend rideout.

How you guys doing?

Yes I was thinking maybe MFU has had its day but perhaps you're right Gringo and it just needs a bit of socialising next summer.

And I'm fine, thanks :) I voted today by writing "Waste of money" across the ballot paper - I figured that if there's a low turnout they'll waste more money on publicity next time :thumbdown

Not bothering to vote.
Thought for the day - in local and general elections, the turn out is generally quite poor and not really representative of the nation. In some countries it is illegal not to vote. I don't think that should happen here but my solution would be the opposite. If you don't vote, your vote will be counted as a vote for the current party. So, if you support the conservatives, or have no interest in politics, or can't be arsed to vote, then don't. If you don't like the way the country is run then go and vote. It amazes me how many people moan about the government, local councils etc when they haven't done anything about it.

Our political system runs on the basis of Buggin's Turn. We get Party A until they get too arrogant and people get fed up with them, then we get Party B until the same thing happens.

We really get sod-all say in what happens in Government and our electoral system simply gives whoever is in power the opportunity to say "We have a mandate to do X, Y and Z because those were in our manifesto and people voted for it" which is BS because you can't say "Well I like X, but not Y and Z, however the other Party's options are worse.

Robin has recently discovered his sexuality, is thinking of starting a course of trans-gender hormones and may well have a nice pair of tits next time you see him.  :rollin :rollin :rollin

Just in from voting (well, writing "No Thanks" across the ballot slip) - I was number 88 for the day. I think the low turnout is guaranteed... :eek

You've just reminded me to go exercise my democratic right to spoil my vote :)

On the subject of turnouts, it's interesting the government requires Unions to achieve a minimum turnout for workers to stand up for themselves using strike action but on the other hand don't think that's necessary for them to achieve a minimum turnout to run the country.
I'm sick of the hypocrisy of it all but I still vote through gritted teeth.
