Not a fan of these efforts, way too weedy for my taste 🤷‍♂️ looks like someone's stuck an engine on a push bike.
I really like the Beemer, I love the way the whole thing flows from front to back, and for once the minimalism really works.  Plus its got an almost surreal comic book look about it.  But it is real and road legal (with a few bits removed for the photoshoot).
It only weights 168kg wet.  Would definately turn heads.

talking of Tom, i fitted a side plate conversion to his new rocket three then took it arooond the airfield for a hoon. Is it cool? dunno. but its ridiculously foccing fast and hen some. in piss pot and t shirt once the revs went past 3k it was more than flesh and blood can stand...

Ogri, is there something wrong with the gravity in England just now?
Yeah the Yamaha is cool, more so with the exhaust fixed with the Akra stuff.  Goodness only knows what Yamaha were thinking when they decided to make that.  They seem to hold value well.  I like em.
I'm not so sure about the Triumph.  Thought the previous Rocket was a stinker.  Obviously I've not riden one, but I just think it would scare the hell out of me - stupid fast, then hard work to get round a corner.  Sure its got go, but really its all show - no?

Don't it just show how people's choices differ ? I think both those look great! I road tested a Rocket 3 some years back though and it was daunting, the power was brilliant but the weight around slow corners and trickling in traffic was an issue for me,so much so I took the bike back before I had to,but I'm a bit of a shortarse so maybe a bigger rider wouldn't find it an issue.I really think that yamaha looks the bizz though. :thumbup

this new Triumph Rocket looks like a Tonka Bike.
or a BSA Bantam on steroids.

A few years back my VFR left a good part of its fairing in France after massive hailstones settled and turned the road surface to ice. It's sat in the back of the garage since. RecentlyI decided to put it back on the road as quickly and cheaply as possible. I don't think it looks too bad:

A beautiful looking engine ruined by 80% of it's cycle parts.

I think it looks absolutely fantastic in the first shot, then in the second I’m just not sure.  It is certainly different, clever and the quality of work looks very good.

Would love to see it in the flesh, then maybe I could make my mind up.

I would have my doubts about it's stability at speed with that front suspension/fork set up.

Most of these bikes do not look like they could actually be ridden. How do you not burn your leg on that exhaust.
Think the thread should be renamed - The Stupid Bike Thread.
