Modifications
« on: 20 February 2014, 09:12:41 pm »
I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to the modifications we have done to our Fazers. Most of us, if not all, have done a mod or two during the ownership of our steeds. This might be a good place for us to have a look at what others have done and maybe get some ideas as to where we should spend that extra money we have, even if it’s only a few quid.

I suggest we break it down into sections so we can quickly refer to an area of particular interest to us, without having to read everything everyone has done, every time we come to the thread.

I did all of my upgrades and mods myself, with the exception of a few that were on the bike when I bought it. It doesn’t matter if you did the work, you had it done or it was on there when you bought it. All that matters is that it is NON STANDARD.

So, without further ado, I will get the ball rolling…

When you say LEDs all round - where? Any chance of a pic of your headlamps?

What's the effect of the sprocket mods? Any good?

LED's all round... EVERYWHERE! (except the headlamps, they are HiD as stated  ;) )

The sprocket mod is ace. I have only been out twice since doing that, but that baby flies. I accelerates like a totally different bike.

 :useless

I ask as a mod I'm considering is HID headlamps or projectors, but with a ring of LEDs as running lights round the outside.

How does the sprocket mod affect top end? I'm guessing it makes 1st even shorter than it already is?

Its dark, cold and the football is on. You will have to wait for a picture mate. My garage is way at the back of the house  :rolleyes .

The top end comes faster and you loose a little bit of speed. But when was the last lime you maxxed out in sixth? The fuel economy has dropped to. About 40 miles from the tank has gone. Probably caus I'm whoreing it everywhere though.

Not chrome, but mirror polished......
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FAZER-600-MIRROR-POLISHED-STAINLESS-STEEL-TOP-YOKE-COVER-FZ-FZS-600-/161216556822?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2589416f16

would that fit a thou ? ...I can see the 'bar bolt holes' are different but is the yoke cover the same size etc ?
