Red=Warning - High Speed Object in motion
Silver=Bullet
Black=Tina Turner - Simply the Best

All 3 colours combined into the S model.........Unstoppable....S standing for Speedyasfoc :smokin
I have to admit (reluctantly) that is the best colour scheme and the one I was looking for but fell for a mint blue foxeye.

They are quite the image of retro in that scheme Vinny....ive always admired them....my silver fazer was fast but nowhere near as fast as the tri colour S andi havent even ridden it yet😎

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Oil change - will this cause issues?
« on: 06 August 2017, 03:54:41 pm »
Cheers Mike

yeh you've brought up another important point there.....my bike will be for hot sunny days only so I wont really need a low viscosity product and i'll probably stick with 10W40.

My van on the other hand will be a camper and my daily runner so it will be out all year round and down to circa -10 in extremes over here in the UK...so i'll need something that can cope with a greater range for it.....also it'll be doing plenty short journeys mixed with big trips...I wont always have the luxury of getting the engine up to temp before setting off in it....probably another need for low viscosity.

I also hadn't realised how much semi synth could degrade and I too like to get a few thousand out the bike before changing it.

I had read somewhere about not changing over from semi to fully if a motor has been run on one type for a long time but tbh I don't really buy into that and I reckon i'll go with some fully synth in both vehicles now.

This is a good thread......i'll have a swatch at that thread on my night shift but just as a general rule then Mr Falcon.............I've got a 2006 Mercedes Sprinter Diesel so if I get the best quality fully synth stuff for it I can also perhaps use it in the fazer.......that would be very handy to just bulk buy and only have 1 type of oil lurking around in my shed 8)

At the end of the day you're mate is a twat......ok he paid it back fair play to him as these types rarely do.

But ask youself this.....how much of a mate is he......would you have given him the money without asking for it back....just gave him it.....if the answer is yes then he is a real mate.....

And if so i put it to you as follows........a matter of principle....he felt the need to lie or coerce you into the lend by spouting bullshit about promised gain to you out of the situation and this saved him face and turned it into some kind of businness deal instead of what it actually was....a cry for help......this is what pissed you off rather than the interest or indeedevengetting the original money back???

I'm in my mid 30's now...im on the housing ladder and stuff...I have a pension but it wont be an amazing golden plated non contributory bad boy....I earn decent money & it'd be nice to move up the housing ladder and get a house with a garage...........at a push I might find myself at 55 years old being able to afford a 2nd bike....maybe a classic....so i'll be looking from 90's onwards, from when I was a kid and started drooling over bikes.....

However I honestly don't believe that guys 10 years younger than me will be as fortunate...house prices, less inheritance, shit pay and conditions.

Then those that are only 15 years old now.....well they are proper focked.......they'll be lucky to afford a classic copy of Razzle

there are less and less young bikers....so less of them looking for the bikes in future, supply and demand

so my opinion is that the classic bubble will burst.....maybe classics will still be declared....but they wont be going for the same silly money as they do now....

Sounds like you're having a shit time of it Harry....advice of the nog...sorn it, store it, wait til you have some dosh and in the meantime keep your eyes peeled on here for when the cheap bits come up...

Getting out on the bike in situations like these may be the thing needed to clear your head.......but having it looming over you might be more of a hindrance under the circumstances.......but you'll feel good that you still have a bike for when things get better..

Also something tells me yours is a red boxeye.....might be wrong though....but if its a foxeye theres a couple of front fairings on ebay for £120

Can your wife not talk them round to letting yous guys take control of their finances BB?.....sounds like they've been targeted so the likelihood is that it wont be the last time it happens.

Even if they were to tell these types...'my son, daughter or whoever' controls my finances...maybe that's enough to put them off if they realise someone else is about to find out pronto and rumble them.

I bought my SP off of a taylor that uas almost 40k miles and somehow looks in better condition than this one......it is cleaner than my old 600 that had 9k miles when i got it. It's a fine example of how high mileage does not mean bad condition....plus it was half the price of this one.😎 Personally i feel the max price of any unused, brand new 600 should be no greater than half or the original price and i think they were £5K brand new, depretiation with age so in my opinion only this one is worth £2K.

Good to be back....since I haven't ridden my  :faz yet i'll have to start here.

Seems to be allot of decision making about who to vote for is based on Wars and Terrorism.........ok whilst they are both bad I believe that they will be present no matter who is in power.

Seems to me to make more sense to vote on the basis of domestic things that affect us each and every day.

I used to be one of those guys who just didn't vote because there was no point and I didn't like any of the choices.....but apparently this is a bad thing to do.......so this year I voted......but really both labour and Conservatives are shite.......I basically voted for the one that I disliked the least.......suppose some choice is better than none.

Also all this bashing of the party leaders is a bit naïve.....they represent a party.....who gives a foc what they personally stand for so long as the party generally has what you need...they are puppets....to personalise something so big seems a bit weird.

Tell you what affect me the most each day....not irish terrorism or the war in Syria......nope......what affects me every day is my Job..........and if you are a normal working person then it is crazy to vote Tory....I think 5 year olds even know that. We are supposed to feel guilty under Tory about even wanting a decent job with decent hours and good conditions.

My daughters future also plays heavily on my mind.....since she wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth then she also wont get any favours from me voting Tory.

That's how simple it is to me.

Joe, duct tape is best

I've got some doc martin work boots and ive never experienced anything quite like them, slicing into the back of my heels. tonight I stuck duct tape over each heel and perfecto.....still feel the pressure but at least I can wear them long enough to start to mould them to my feet.

hey Ian welcome along...good luck with the search for a gen 1, see theres already a couple on offer....they are both lovely but I can see that you want that "just right" one for you with modded suspension and why not....you'll have to spend more getting an R1 front end etc.....prices are criminally low but if you're a buyer then that's great.

I had a 600 boxeye, then an FZ1......then a trx....dare I say it though I'm not a fan of the looks of the Gen1 thous but I know if I ever try one i'll like it.....I've ended up back to a 600 boxeye...I'm a heavy foccer too also around the 17 stone mark...apparently we bounce better 8)
