Hi Kevin, Interested in the racks/panniers/top box etc. - are they still available ? How much are you looking for, including postage to mainland UK ? Presumably they would fit straight on to a '98 Boxeye ? Kind regards, Matt

Did you have any luck?
I may have a set of hard side panniers and mounts for sale in the next week if you are interested?
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul, I might be interested, depending on what you've got ... Cheers, Matt

Hi Foccers,
The front right foot peg on my 98 Boxeye is loose, i.e. it rotates rather than wobbles up and down.
I’m sure I read somewhere that this is quite common. Is it ? Is it an easy fix if not ... or a likely MOT failure ?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

All,
I'm trying to remove the fairing from my 98 Boxeye to paint it.
I've undone the fasteners towards the rear, undone the infill panels and removed them, and taken off the mirrors and the supports but it won't budge. It feels like there's something I've missed ... any thoughts ?
I've looked at the Haynes manual and there doesn't seem to be anything left ...
Am I being dim, or is it a case of accumulated crud ?
Many thanks,
Matt

Picked her up yesterday ...
29,000 miles
Fairing has seen better days (screen taken off for a good clean).
Some cosmetic work required but mechanically sound.
Less damaged fairing on the way, which I might vinyl wrap.
Luggage is a Jofama large bag. 52 litres - I sourced it as a bargain from the Bay of E, but they're still good value at about £89 new, imho.
Anyway, hopefully the pics will post below :

Hi all,
Looking for a 1998 boxeye fairing, ideally in black.
Not too bothered about scratches etc. but no major cracks.
Pictures appreciated please !
Many thanks,
Matt

Good job JimJenko ! Four hours per fork, or four in total ? Clearly a labour of love 👍🏻

Hi,
Due to collect my 98 600 next week and the fork lowers have seen better days ... and are quite heavily corroded with that white flaky stuff (technical term).
What do people use to tidy them up ? I've had a look on the internet & YouTube but the seem to be adverts for American products in the main.
Having them professionally redone isn't worth it financially at the mo.
Any hints, tips, and advice greatfully received ! 👍🏻
Many thanks,
Matt

Hi all,
I'm due to collect my 98 600 next week and have a couple of questions about wiring ...
It's had a replacement fairing at some point, and to my inexperienced eye the wiring looks a bit untidy - could anyone direct me to a photo of what it should look like please ?
Also, both lights are on when headlights are selected, and the near side remains lit when main beam is selected ... does this mean that the headlight mod has already been done ?
Lastly, there's a couple of connectors under the seat, towards the rear that I'm unsure about.
No pics at the mo ... and apologies for the length of the post 👍🏻

Hi all. Recently passed my test at the ripe old age of 48 and picking up a 98 600 in black next weekend.
39,000 on the clock. Could do with some cosmetic tlc but mechanically very sound.
Looking forward to clocking up some miles 👍🏻
Now to join the great headlight upgrade discussion !
