Title: Renthal 758
Post by: greg1953 on 06 September 2021, 09:41:07 am
Many recommend Renthal 758 as an improvement on the Gen 1 Fazer 1000...can anyone advise ? are they lower or higher than standard ? Thank you.

They are about the same height as the originals but a little straighter i.e. not as swept back. The original bar end weights do not fit the Renthals and you will have to drill a hole for the switch gear locating pin. They are good though once you get used to them. :D

Get a thread tapped in the end of the Renthals, 16mm at 16 t.p.i, to fit the original bar end weights, which are quite heavy (308 grams) and do a good job.

The Sweep / pullback of the 758 bars feels comfier (to me).  I also tapped mine out & fitted heavier FJ1200 bar ends to minimise the vibes.
