I'm free, we gonna show em what the lofo's think of a mere few hundred miles!?
Working on getting the night off and if so I'm up for the crack.   A roads all the way?

I had a look at the route on google M1 on to M6.  But all though it adds an hour to the journey, I would do the shortest run up the M1 to J9 and then get on the A5 and follow it all the way to the A41 and turn right onto that and follow it all the way to the cafe. If I can make it I could meet people on the A5 near the M42.

I've been frequenting the Midway Truckstop right by the Raven for 30 years, It's only 19 miles from home so I've got no excuse. Could be on my winter XJ600 though.

It depends which direction everyone comes from, personally I was thinking of meeting up at a services on the M40, sounds strange but it's a much nicer motorway than the M1!
But we can work all that out closer to the time

But the way chris was talking it's only a short distance of the M1, to jct9  (26miles from jct 1 or 9.8miles if entering M1 from m25)  and then A roads rest of the way  which has to be better ride than either motorways...........But I don't mind, either way it's a craic :)

A5 is a pretty shite road, if peeps want to do A roads then it would be a meet up at Oxford and then the run I did for the lofo's up to Stratford, I know the back road route up to Bromsgrove from Oxford after that I'd have to look it up!

Gotta be A44 from Oxford, over to Slimwilly's at Leominster, then up from there. The only crap bit of the A44 is where it crosses the Vale of Evesham, just after Fish Hill. Plus a bit of shepherding everyone through Worcester. What did you say Bill? A49? What's that like?

Hi Nick,A49 nothing special but direct, quite a bit of traffic, there is the old roman road running parralel with it for a bit, up to Craven Arms,

Yes we can make a stopoff meet point at Doms bike stop,if anyone else wants a mid stop off,Deadeye etc

lots of eastenders and beyond are part of the lofo`s now, might not like the thought of coming out so far west...a413/a41 and a meet at pear tree services or bicester services and then decide which way to go......dont like motorways so would much perfer  A`s.........lofo`s have done both routes before and by april the weather should be better and the days longer.so parhaps slim could lead the way up and we choose our own way back.......just an idea......if lofos want to go west you can meet at my place and i`ll lead upto oxford via the A40.....foc me,if you get here early enough i`ll even make the tea  :lol
