My Fazer is blue and I've been thinking of getting them powder coated Gold for some time but was worried about damage during tyre changes so might just get them spray painted for easy touch up repairs?

Nice bike.
On a slightly different point?

What did you think of the screen, it looks quite high? I have R1 forks and the front end is a bit lower which suits my stumpy legs but not my upper body on fast Motorway blasts with my back pack on.

Cheers,   Mickey

Have you got your pegs down on the road?
You.'ll be able to ride around a few touch downs,if your tyres are quality.
Of course if you're minted just buy some rear sets?

My bike has a full Monty and an after market can. I tend to ride on the motorway in the high 90's and keep near the limits in 30 and 40 limits and get regular 50 mpg's, I seldom go over 9000 revs but like to get up to fast motorway speeds quickly. I haven't been out with mates for ages so can't give you any mpg's for real thrashes. Your fuel economy sounds really poor from what I can see. Is your air filter clean as a dirty blocked one can knock your mpg for 6?

I drive a truck and have been issued with a nice shiny new 12 plate. It has a springy flap just under the cap so if the cap is left off it will restrict the loss, I couldn't gaurentee it would stop it all and I hope I never find out.

just another thought. Trading standard measure the pumps and test for pump accuracy. I think this is a legal requirement and you can contact your county council if you think the pumps are inaccurate. More than likely the bike tanks aren't 100% and have an inbuilt expansion area for hot days as mentioned earlier.

And what about the Plastic Maggot. Most Londoners would know what they are having to jump outta the road whenever one was on a mission.

Maybe the BMW S1000RR should be included.
famous? Recogniseable? Really?

That would be why they fitted the gimpy headlights, it's now recognizable from all the others.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Front Brake Pads
« on: 03 February 2012, 04:27:43 pm »
When i had my old Blade Performance Bikes did a test on loads of different types of pad. They always found that OEM was the best closely followed by EBC but the EBC had quite a lot less friction material so wore out quicker. I think it was something like 4mm instead of the 6mm the OEM pads had (Don't quote me) Also the EBC pads were more abrasive so wore the discs down quicker. Hardly relevant under 20,000 miles a year though.
Just a thought.

I've got R1 forks on mine(Thanks Mike) And have noticed a lot more wind turbulence around my helmet and shoulders but a lot more noise if i duck down a few inches so always wear ear plugs with my Arai as it's so flippin' noisy. I'm 5'6" and a little bit chubby but only a little bit.   :lol

Does anyone have a spare Exup pulley for sale. Mine is broken and has been since i bought the bike. It doesn't seem to affect the Exup operation but i would prefer a none broken pulley.
