A quick search and nothing flagged up and it'd be big news if they have or were even thinking about it as there would be rumour storys etc all over the internet. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it just yet Not that I have anything against Honda, they do make some very nice machines.
surely, given the choice, it would be far better for Honda to buy Yamaha rather than Mr ying dinga dong across the water !!

The service manual says to check it with 2 wheels on the ground, ie on the side stand, I would go by that.
+1......think about it, for example. you adjust chain on centre stand to say,40mm. then you flop bike down off stand and the weight of the bike settling onto the suspension knocks that down to 30mm play. then you ( and possibly a pillion ) jump on, knocking that down to 20mm or even less. now imagine you adjust it on centre stand to spec, but manual says this must be done on side stand...........instant guitar string!! everything stressed to the max...bearings, output shafts etc, and that nice shiny chain just waiting to take your calf (or worse ) off. food for thought i think. ride safe

If the wheel's misaligned it can cause a clunking sound as the chain tries to correct itself. You sure the chain's not too tight?
+1.............was the chain adjusted on the centre stand ?

just keep in mind mate, yes,2 turns out is the `factory setting`. but no two engines are the same. i normally treat these `settings` as a starting point and usually find a small amount of tweaking either in or out will be required. on most bikes. very small adjustments can make a HUGE difference to the running. just my mutterings. good luck

just a quick mention here...........try and avoid using a `wet` lube like wd40, as this attracts more sh&t into the barrel over time and aggravating the problem. use graphite powder ( no, pencil lead doesn`t work ) sparingly into the slot...oooeeer missus. done this for years. never had a problem. ignition / tank / seat locks

Red mate, jets are now 2 sizes up ( stock 115 now 120). tend to just read posts now rather than comment, especially after that cctv farce with poor old Clive. possibly getting too cliquey for my liking ( been on other forums that have gone that way. pity really ) keep at it matey....rest assured, i`m watching from afar from time to time
