Drone
« on: 01 August 2023, 09:15:19 pm »
What do people use?  I'm looking for one, small enough to fit in a top box/pannier/small rucksack etc, an hrs flying time, good camera, preferably 4K, Auto Return, Home Follow Me, Light Positioning etc, batteries and charger.

Not looking for top of the range stuff, I'm a total beginner, but I want something that reliable and will last me a few years.

Oh and I'm not looking to break the bank either few hundred quid at most.

All advice gratefully received.

I don't use one, but here's some useful (legal) info:

You could alway checking oiut whats some YT's use, for example Itchyboots - https://www.itchyboots.com/blog/gear-and-equipment-season-5

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078WP48CH/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8

Its not cheap but some of the shots she gets in her videos are of documentery qaulity.

Cheers mate, all useful info and on other items I'm looking at.  I've sorted the drone now and after talking to people who are in the know and tried a few cheaper end types, I've ended up spending more than double.  It's like everything in life you get what you pay for, yes the cheaper stuff works to a point, picture quality, features and reliability vary wildly.  Basically anything below £700 ish will not give you picture quality, tech features that actually work or reliability.

I went for a DJI Mini 3 Pro.
