Hi from another NEW Fazer owner. Personally, I've found the grinning occurs even when off the bike many times, randomly. The illness cannot be diagnosed nor treated.

Your fears are my fears, one hex bolt snapped off in my case and oh crap, STOP! before digging yourself into a bigger hole. Plan and be patient I'm telling myself.
Yes, the header bolts potentially snapping - what a fuck off that'd be.

In the drilling dept, perhaps some drilling lube could help out giving sufficient time out for cooling and more lube, 3-4 seconds at a time to be safe and sure. The drilling lube will help the bit to be far more efficient at cutting.

Hi everyone.

Great to be a member of this site and a fellow owner of this beast of a bike.

Another proud owner of the FSZ1000 !

I rode one of these GEN 1 bikes in Thailand last year and have upgraded from my Suzuki GS500E recently as had to have one of these beasts.

Bought my FZS1000 2001 model two weeks ago from a guy who bought it when it was 1 year old.

He has tracked it 12 times at Eastern Creek in Sydney and has had the Emulsion Tubes and Jet Needles replaced with aftermarket and a Mega Cycle pipe fitted all prof done at a racing shop on the dyno. He told me 135HP at the back wheel. Plus -1 up front. Low wide almost flat bars. Stiffer rear spring. 57,000 kms. Full synthetic from the start - thank god for that!

This bike feels half the weight of the standard one I rode in Thailand which felt a little heavy on slower corners.

Around town is goes really well and smooth but I won't really know it goes until I get out of town to line it up down a straight to see what she's got.

Popped some new Conti Road Attack 2's on the weekend.
