MPG - Ivanised or not
« on: 24 August 2022, 04:32:23 pm »
This winter, fitted the Slip On Kit (I think, not sure what the FOC I fitted - it came with drills, needles and jets  :eek ) and on the first few rides, seemed to get about 48 mpg. (I don't thrash it, just don't hang about lol :lol ). At this point I had Michelin PR4's on.

I recently changed to Avon Storms. On a run up to Nottingham (from Worcester) the mpg has now gone to 58. Not complaining. Mainly motorway/dual carriageway with an occasional hoon into 3 figures.
Has anyone else noticed a big change with either the Ivans kits or just changing tyres?

Fitted an Ivans F/Monty kit to mine last year.
only just got it back together after a full refurb.

Impressed with the smoothness / BHP & arm wrenching acceleration, feels like my old ZZR1400 from way back in 2007.
I reckon I get around 200mls from a full tank of BP ultimate 98 or Shell V-Power Nitro, won't use any other gas.

Personally I don't run a tuned bike to worry about fuel mileage, it is what it is ... A feckin Rocket on 2 wheels.
