600 rear shock
« on: 12 March 2015, 10:00:05 am »
I bought a betor rear shock off here a few months ago and haven't got round to fitting it as yet, but wondered what the general feeling around betor as after market shock was, i've never heard of them!

I was dead set to change the standard shock out today, but after thinking a bit  more about it i'm not sure if i should as for the first time in three years it handled great on the dragon rally last month.

it will improve it a fair bit but you have to remember its a budget shock not a hagon.

compared to the betor the hagon is 10x better, i had a hagon on my first divvie and it was amazing! my 3rd divvie had a knackered shock i got offered a cheap betor an it was nowhere near as good.

i got it fitted up with no problems, so just need to see how it compares. It's easy enough to go back if needed.

it's doing ok, just need to spend some time setting it up I think as it's still a bit firm, even with a pillion

Seems to be better than stock but only time will tell!!

replaced my mt09 rear shock with a better unit, stuck the genuine mt09 shock against the fazer one and its the same size, just it would have to be fitted upside down to how it came of the mt09. doable or should i throw it in the bin, never fitted a shock upside down so i dont know if its ok or not.

I'm not too sure to be honest, I'd have probably thought that it may not be the best idea, but someone with more experience might be able to explain.
